So great news everyone my petition was approved on July 1st 2013. My fiance received NOA2 in his mailbox. Can someone please tell me what happens now. I'm a little bit confused, nervous, happy, excited ... A whole lot of emotions. Do I just sit at home and wait for the Embassy in my home country to send me a package. So not sure! So happy. Everyone who is waiting on their NOA2 ... Hang in there because its coming :)

Congratulations. Your approved petition will be going to the NVC if it hasn't been there already and will spend between 2-3 weeks with them before it is forwarded to the embassy and in between this time, your fiance can call the NVC for his case number. Now, before your case get to the embassy, you can start preparing to obtain your birth certificate if you don't have one yet and police reports(Certificate) of every countries you have been to and stayed up to 6 months in, if that applies to you. The embassy will contact you once they have your approved petition with them or you can call them once you are aware your petition has left the NVC.

Congratulations! Ken & Lecia have it right. smile.png

When did you file?

Also, to help out the other Visa Journey members, you can fill out your timeline which people can click and see when you filed, and your basic process. It lets other users know where that Service Center is at. smile.png This is completely optional ofc.

Yes I do have to fill out a timeline as it would also be easier for me to keep track of the dates myself. We filed in November and got our receipt on November 26th then we got an RFE that was approved in less than 2 weeks and then on July 1st my fiancé and I received good news while we vacationed in St. Lucia. Do you think he will be allowed in for the interview idea9dv.gif

It depends, I don't know about Trinidad and Tobago but some embassies allow the petitioner to be present during the interview. Some end up interviewing both the petitioner and the beneficiary. If your fiance is present at the time of your interview and is not allowed to be around you while you are being interviewed, you can take his passport with you and show it to the consular officer interviewing you indicating he is around if such questions or anything relating to it come up during the interview.

Having your fiance(e)'s presence during the interview (even if he/she can't attend) is ALWAYS a big thumbs up. Some embassies/consulates "unofficially require" the sponsor to be present during the interviews. You can check out the embassy notes by clicking the flag under your avatar image on your post, if there are no notes, look at timelines from other members who've gone through the process.

Good luck!
