Tunisia would be considered a high risk country for fraud so you will need a considerable amount. The best is to add a variety of documents and small snippets from different days, weeks, and months since your petition was approved. It's better to be safe than sorry and might also prevent delays.

I think it depend on how difficult is your embassy. Usually middle east/ africa embassies are considered like "high fraud" so its pretty tough and the rates of denials are pretty high. So maybe the amount of evidence need it for an interview in Paris (for example) are less than an interview in Morocco. My embassy (Venezuela) rarely ask for evidence and the rates of denials its pretty low. The thing is the you need to read the reviews of your embassy and try to connect with vjembers from the same country. I personally think :variety over cuantity. Send 120 pages of the same thing is senseless. You can send a lil bit of a lot of different stuff. The most important evidence is the one the proof you have been in the same location together: copy of passport stamps, boarding passes, itineraries, airplane tickets, photos together and with family and friends, hotel receipts, tour tickets. You also can send a few copy of phone bills where it shows her phone number, skype logs, emails, letters, cards, affidavit from family and friends, money orders/western union receipts. Try to keep the iriginal for the interview.

It could be safe to say that if the country isn't covered under the Visa Waiver Program it is considered a high fraud country. Although I'm sure there are different levels of fraud.

I used to think that was true. In Mongolia's case, it's not easy to get a B visa to the U.S., and there is a lot of fraud for tourist visas, where people overstay or try to get married once they arrive in the U.S.

Luckily, the IV unit is not so hard on people, at all. My wife and stepkids didn't have any trouble -- their interviews lasted less than five minutes combined.

I think Russia and Kazakhstan are similar to Mongolia, in terms of the strictness of the interview.

On the other hand, it seems that some Latin American countries are very, very tough. Africa can be very tough. India seems to have the highest denial rates from what I read. Middle Eastern counties can be tough, too.

I would think that it's still, in any country, most likely that a genuine relationship will pass the interview, but it's never guaranteed, and the officers can make mistakes, can have bad days, and can ruin people's lives if they so choose.

My evidence was mainly google voice logs, and handwritten letters to my stepkids for their birthdays. In Mongolia, you get a chance to submit evidence before the actual interview, and it was all looked at, I would assume. Furthermore, although I don't think they officially tell you this is the case, the people who answer the phones and emails do communicate with the officers. I had sent many emails asking about my fiancee's (at the time) interview and her kids' interviews, and they actually told her that I really care a lot and worry a lot about her. To them, I think I overwhelmingly proved the validity of the relationship just by communicating with the embassy about my wife and the interview.

In answer to this question, which I'd asked verbatim years ago, an immigration attorney/former consul said, "Any poor country." The intensity of the interview scrutiny varies within the general level of fraud risk, and current reviews of interviews (particularly the WORST stories) are important to consider.

Tunisia would be considered a high risk country for fraud so you will need a considerable amount.

Thanks smile.png That is good to hear!

Please keep in touch and let me know how everything goes!

GOOD LUCK !!!

Update: interview went well. They asked for my tax return which i need to send and one other paper that my fiance didn't get done in time. CO said he would get visa next day after bringing those. He asked a few questions about my life and family but didn't ask for photos or any additional relationship evidence. I did provide pictures with my fiance's family and i had 4 trips there to visit so I guess that was enough. good luck

Jessica, I'd certainly wait to file until after your visit. This is a golden opportunity to accumulate (further, solid) evidence of bona fide relationship and to front-load your petition package judiciously so that the consul has his/her mind made up in your favor before the actual interview occurs. You're very fortunate to be in this position!

I dont know what happened when I replyed. my reply is in the quote :-P opps!!!

You headbonk.gif me, and I'll headbonk.gif you, si man. smile.png

My transgression was more headbonk.gif-worthy than yours.

But back to the main point: You're truly fortunate to be able to hold back and do what you can do, si man. As wrenching as it might now be, I urge you in the strongest possible terms to delay your gratification.

Doing so now could save months of delay and emotional agony later. Trust me. Having been through what I went through, I'd give anything to be able to go back and do it over correctly -- as you now have the opportunity to do.

Thanks :) I talked to my fiance already and we've decided to wait until after my second visit. We both agree it is better to do everything right the FIRST time instead of rushing the process.

Better Safe than Sorry good.gif

...P.S. the thread you suggested seems like a good one!

Thank you again. content.gif
