Hello,

I have written a personal appeal letter that I intend to send with my I 130 packet. It is an emotional appeal.

Is there anything wrong in sending a personal appeal? Will it cause more problems than it is worth. I don't know how else to convey my feelings. I don;t feel the forms and associated documents give a voice to my emotions.

Thoughts? I don't want to get screwed for doing this.

It will carry no weight. USCIS adjudicators can only make decisions based upon the preponderance of the evidence you provide and nothing else.

submit as much as you can

what you want to write should be expressed in an evolution of the relationship outline.. state facts, the expectation for a bona fide marriage is that love is involved ;)

We wrote cover letters with ours also...however it was a timeline of our relationship, how may times we have flown back n forth in four years etc and how much we love each other. We know it doesn't hold any weight, but personally it was something we wished to do..so pretty much what Steve said :)

Won't hurt, won't help. It'll just make you feel better. It's like a homeopathic form.

As long as your relationship evidence is solid, you've got nothing to worry about! Your interview is where you get to discuss the history of your relationship with a more emotional slant.
