I live in LA. I expect that there will be no riots here, so I will be either at the gym or drinking craft beers with friends when the verdict is handed down. Maybe I'll go to the beach or finish catching up on Downton Abbey Season 3. Dunno. As far as weapons go, none, just as every other day in the big bad city.

Yes I realize that. What I mean is if the riots spread to states like NJ what would one do to protect oneself and family.

Because Florida has a lot of guns and because this case will reinforce the right to be armed and use deadly force in Florida, there will BE NO riots in Florida to "spread" to NJ. There may be riots in gun free zones like NJ or CA. There will be none in Florida.

In 2005 Florida was hit by four major hurricanes. Anyone recall any widespread looting? I Do recall seeing signs which said "You Loot, We Shoot" No one looted, no one shooted (there is a made up word in that sentence so that Penny can have something to respond to)

GZ is a scumbag who lied on several occasions and took the life of young TM. The general consensus is if he didn't follow TM and leave his vehicle this tragedy would have been averted. However the prosecutor did not prove its case of second degree murder beyond a reasonable doubt. So GZ will be acquitted.

These are all subjective comments..

I read that many people think GZ is an honest hard working man, over zealous with his protection techniques, however obviously frustrated by the thieving scumbags who are robbing his neighborhood.

Of course he has a right to walk to the store. And GZ has a right to leave his truck even when advised not to, because police dispatchers have -0- authority to tell people anything, just as anyone here has -0- authority to tell TM not to go out to the store.

The problem came when TM attacked GZ and smashed his head on the sidewalk.

Anyway, we can't change that. We can just be thankful we have a justice system free of racism.
