We married in November 2007. My youngest son and I arrived in America in October 2008. He now has a 10 year green card and in January 2013 I obtained citizenship.

My eldest son's status has been upgraded to F1. My eldest son is still waiting to join us and am wondering if anyone can please tell me how I can determine how much longer his paperwork will take? His I-130 was filed in March 2009 and he is based in South Africa.

Thank you, much appreciated!

The current Priority Date for the F-1 category is September 1, 2006. You will find it updated every month; http://travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_1360.html

It should be 2-3 years before your son's PD becomes current.
