Proof of ongoing relationship

Just wondering...

For married couples pursuing the K3 that have met & married in a short amount of time (less than 2 years knowing each other) are you ever asked to provide proof of ongoing relationship prior to or at the consular interview? I'm thinking things like flight tickets, phone bills, photos, emails, chat logs, etc.

I was not asked for anything at the interview in Sydney...I had photos and boarding passes and stuff with me but they didn't want to see it.

The term 'ongoing relationship' is a bit of a misnomer - what the visa application must show is that the relationship is not for the purpose of gaining an immigration benefit - entry and LPR status in the USA. A relationship for this purpose is not acceptable even if it is 'ongoing'.

Proof of a bona fide - not for the pupose of immigration - relationship must be shown by all marriage-based visa applicants, be it K1, K3, or immigrant visa, no matter the length of the relationship.

They want to see proff that you were in constant contact through out the time you were in the relationship.

To show this proof it would be things like flight tickets, letters with envelopes and stamps, cards, phone bills, photos, emails, chat logs, etc.

Thanks for the info. I've definitely got proof of constant contact, but I guess like so many things, it's up to the consular officer to decide.
