Sanford City Manager called as a hostile witness. Bad direction for the defense to take. Juries don't follow conspiracy theories.

And he is black too.

Noted: Defense played the race card first in this trial.

Who cares? It's not like they need the race card, unlike the prosecution. Join the bet? See day 9.

i don't get it.

Upset, no. No serious head injury was noted. Hypothetical is not the same as fact.

Thanks for playing, Please try again.

and why do you think him having a serious head injury is important ?

The good Dr. testified he had at least 4 injuries from 4 different blows. Said it could be more.

the severity of his injuries has nothing to do with his guilt or innocence.

Doesn't look good for George on the smear campaign his lawyers want to put on against the victim. Based on the arguments and the judges questions, I'd say the phone records are out. And I think the investment into the electronic re-enactment was a big waste, too. We'll know in the morning but my money is on all of that garbage not making it into evidence. The defense lawyers were visibly pizzed off at the end of the day today.

I so hope this animation guy testifies before the jury tomorrow. He will get so slaughtered. What a joke!

I didn't get the feeling that the judge was favorable on allowing it into evidence. The defense was not particularly strong in their argument on this. The state killed the animation guy and nailed the argument on the issue. Same for the cell phone data. That won't make it into evidence either. The defense knows it. They were so frustrated at the end of the day it was ridiculous.

As much fun as it is to treat this trial like a football game, that's not how this is going down. Jurors take notes - they're cautious, careful, and methodical. When they deliberate, they will have a lot of questions about the validity of GZ's claim that he reasonably feared for his life. I believe that the clincher for them was what he had said in the call to the police - "these as$holes always get away", "oh sh!t! he's running", and then GZ getting out of his vehicle in spite of being told not to, followed by his lack of disregard or respect to law enforcement when he replied, "okay" knowing that he was going to do what he wanted.

When the trial is over and the jurors can publicly comment on what clinched it for them - I believe it will be that alone. I believe the prosecution felt that that alone was sufficient knowing that what happened during the confrontation would never be made clear by either side. GZ gets manslaughter.

You are so upset it didn't..... The fact that a blow to the head can cause bodily harm was well noted by the jury. Many of them are mothers and understood the damage that a blow to the head can cause..... Well before walking into this courtroom.

I am inclined to believe getting shot in the heart can cause, and indeed did cause, death. Many moms also know this without needing instructions.

More defense money wasted.
