I am just asking, as they have not been asking for the 2X2 photos so thought maybe it had to do with the old passport vs new. Oh well. One more game CFO is playing.

Yes I understand Hank and I thank you for your interest, concern and the way you are always ready to help others.

I did a search on a post I refered to, I noticed you read and commented on that same post, about being requested to supply a document of singleness for the U.S. citizen. Link Below

This is not the only time we had an experience that was not typical of the rules as set forth in certain agencies lists (just minor things), this time my wife happen to have some 2x2 photos in her purse from earlier, but still my wife said it went very fast for her at the CFO.

regarding the proof of singleness, the beneficiary here can get a cenomar for the usc.. it's just to make sure he is not married here.. or to any filipina.. we can get a cenomar for usc.. if he is not registered at nso or not married to any filipina,it will just simply state that he dont appear on the registry

CFO went quickly for my wife as well. For quite awhile the "curveball" question was asking for the USC mother's maiden name, but it seems after that got too well known and they weren't catching as many they added more BS.... truly don't understand their reasoning for trying to foul things up, it should be about education and assistance.

i know CFO's reasons behind all of these.. some might not understand it. At first I also felt bad about hearing horror stories of some counselees who attended the seminar..but after i attended with the seminar, i can say it wasn't really that bad. more filipinas appreciate the seminar just like what i am reading on fb.. i know the reasons behind all of these.. but all i can say is to just let CFO do their job. and since the applicants here got some tips from the previous applicants already, i hope they will be ready in going there.. it is a case to case basis..

maybe they already considered your wife as one of the immigrants for pdos since she had the seminar 5 years ago/married 7 years already and just got the sticker this year..

Robb&Ann, That could also be the reason they asked my wife for the second 2x2 photo inside CFO, but we have no answer for as to the reason. I did live in the Philippines with my wife until just before I applied to bring her to the U.S., after my father became ill and I needed to stay and help care for my elderly father and mother.

My wife did say that morning on may 2013 there was a vender selling paste (along with other vendors selling coffee, ball point pens etc.) and a couple of filipina had already bought the paste and shared with everyone else to paste the photo on the registration form outside the CFO building.

Very true Robb&Ann,

My point is exactly as you stated when I posted about the person being requested the certificate of singleness, some experience different things due to their different categories, circumstances etc. that can confuse other's, but as you say try to read all others expierences and try best to be prepared. Like you, my wife had no problems during the seminar in 2008 or this year at CFO.

I might add my wife said all in attendance that morning, when she got her sticker, already had their visa but most were attending the seminar and getting their sticker that same day.

Sorry if my responses may seem unfocused on may not be explained throughly.

I agree. My wife said when she took her seminar in 2008 she enjoyed it and the counselors were very friendly, the only thing in 2008 was my wife forgot to take photos of us together with her, when she was asked to show a photo of us together she stated she had some on her celphone, which the counselor looked at and accepted.

Requirements for Registration

  • Original and photocopy of Passport;
  • Original and photocopy of visa
  • Original and photocopy of Immigrant Data Summary for US-bound emigrants (except for K visa holders);
  • Original CFO guidance and counseling certificate;
  • Duly completed emigrant registration form; and
  • Payment of the authorized registration fee.

So you have to have another registration form printed and filled to get the sticker if coming back?

And how much is this registration fee?
