Why do you need an affidavit from a mother who doesn't live near the beneficiary and likely has no intimate knowledge of your relationship?

There are sample affidavits on this site, and many can be found online. A notarization in Canada depends on the province but a lawyer is also a notary most often.

afiidavit from mother is needed for unobtainable birth certificates. Incase his birth certificate is rejected, i just wanted to add another document to prove of his birth from his mother. that's why i asked if it's good to add another document or i shouldnt.
