My wife was in AP for exactly one year after her interview in July 2012. Last month she was asked to submit a new police report and medical. Today we received an email to submit her passport via DX. is the wait finally over for us?

03/23/2022: Application for passport submitted at USPS facility under standard processing.

04/04/2022: Status changed to “The U.S. Department of State has received your application for your passport book on 04/04/2022. We're now reviewing your application and supporting documents...Your application locator number is 51*******.”

04/04/2022: Check for passport cashed.

05/03/2022: Status changed to "The U.S. Department of State approved your application for your passport book. We're now printing your passport book and preparing to give it to you. You should receive your passport book on or around 05/09/2022."

05/05/2022: Passport Received.

05/09/2022: SSA Citizenship Status Updated.

05/25/2022: Naturalization Certificate received in mail.

Why so long for someone in the UK?!

OPs wife was born in one of the countries that the UK/US is suspicious of (but is a naturalised UK citizen). http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/398107-admin-review

So glad to hear you are finally out of AP! I can't imagine what that sort of wait must be like.

How much time do you usually get to Enter the US after receiving your visa?

Usually the visa will have an expiration date of 6 months from the date of the medical exam. So US entry within that 6 month window.

4th June 2013 - NOA2 (approved)
16th July 2013 - Interview (approved)
30th July 2013 - POE San Francisco
29th August 2013 - 2 year green card arrived

does anyone know how long the embassy will take now to process the passport? they just recieved it today and I am curious to how many (hopefully Days) do they take to send it back?
