Question- Now we have booked our interview date for Aug 8th, but we don't have yet our official case # notification, verification that our file has been shipped by NVC or the embassy receiving it and processing it for the interview..........is there any problem with all that being completed before our interview date ?? We are just 4 weeks out now :-)

As always, thanks for your help and input...

Did you print the confirmation page after scheduling the interview online?

Did you list an email address when setting up the account? Did you get an email from the embassy confirmation the appointment (check your spam folder) ? You can call the embassy, or email them requesting they send another confirmation email.

Lastly, even though you already have you MNL # from NVC you can email them (per the info in my link) and they will reply with the MNL # , you can then print that to make SLEC happy.

Hi Hank- Yup...confirmation page printed, email confirmation response for the interview from- no-reply@ustraveldocs.com, received.

I will email the NVC having them reply with our MNL #

Thanks for the info, as always, you are certainly a big help.

If you have the email confirmation for the interview from USEM with the MNL # on it, don't worry about NVC, you just need one or the other to make SLEC happy.

Then do the email to NVC to request the MNL #. SLEC wants something from either NVC or USEM will the beneficiary name and the MNL #. NVC is very quick about replying, then just forward that email to your fiancée for her to print out.

Some say just to tell the guard you got the MNL # over the phone and be persistent, but when its so easy to get the email from NVC why cause even a little stress in an already stressful process. And of course have a copy of your interview confirmation as SLEC will want to know that date.
