Would us not have to include Christ?

Yeah but how could he be against him if he's trying to heal people in his name. The disciples were pissed that he wasn't one of us which I assume means Christ's posse. What is said by Jesus doesn't seem to fit the discussion at hand as the guy is clearly for him. I dunno just seems like a translation issue or something maybe.

Of course it fits. The other man is casting out demons in Jesus' name, so he is with Jesus, not against him. The other man is not one of the Twelve, but he is following the ways of Jesus.

Go read it in the Bible and it might be easier to understand it's intent. In fact, there is an excellent quote about children.

Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

I agree that Christ felt this guy was with him contrary to what the desciples felt. That's fine.

The issue is that he turned this specific case into a generalization that covers all situations.

Then there was another specific case that he turned into a generalization.

The two generalizations are in conflict unless as Spook asserts there are only two possible conditions

with or against.

If there is only with or against and this statement is true

"Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."

Then a baby that doesn't believe in Jesus is going to hell.

If Spook comes up with a quote that says something different then he is revealing a new contradition
