dr_lha,

Did you get 10 year Green card? Just curious, I am in the same boat. I am in H1visa and applied for AOS in September from Washington DC and got EAD approval mail on 11/27. Atleast based on the Washington DC timelines, it seems it will be a while for us to get interview notice. we are completing two two years of our wedding this christmas.

It hasn't arrived yet, so I don't know for sure its a 10 year one. However at the interview the officer didn't give the the talk about "Removing conditions" after she told me my case was being approved, so I assume I'll get a 10 year card. DC seems to be a slow office in general BTW.

I suspect as you were married in June 04 that your card will be a 10 year one. I too went through the DC office - what a nightmare that place is. But I had to sign a pre-typed letter, confirming that they had explained the procedure for removal of conditions, after we had been married 2 years. I am guessing that if you didn't sign this letter, you will get a 10 year one.

I am pleased for all those that are getting their AOS approved so quickly. I just wish I could get our situation, with my son, sorted out. If he had been processed in the same kind of time you guys are being processed, we would not have had to fight for his right to a green card for the past 3.5 years! He turned 21 during processing of his AOS, after entering on a K-2. They took 10 months to get him to interview, by which time they said he'd aged-out. So, yes, the OP is very lucky.

Our journey started in 2001 and it's still not over. It's been a rollercoaster ride all the way! Let me off - I wanna be sick!

Yes, I'm assuming it will be the 10 years, but I can't say for definite until I have the card in my hands! BTW - I didn't go through DC myself, I went through Philly.

Count yourself as one of the lucky ones, if you didn't go through DC. They are the biggest bunch of a*holes I have ever had to deal with in my life, from the guy on the desk to the District Director!

I have a question about the I-765 and I am hoping someone can answer it for me. I just sent off the paperwork for my husband but we didn't do the AOS yet, I am waiting for some financial paperwork. In reading the directions for the EOD I understood it to mean that if the EOD was for someone on a K1 visa (which my husband is since we only got married two weeks ago) than it should be sent as an (a)(6) and not a ©(9). Did i screw it up? And if so, what will happen? Will it just be sent back to us or will we have to refile? If anyone can answer that for me I would be grateful. Thanks.

sorry, i meant EAD not "EOD" (too many letters and numbers in this immigration business!)
