So I've just come back from visiting my Fiancée in America and received excellent news in the post I-129F NOA2. Expecting a letter at home stating what I had to do on my part e.g. Consulate, interview, etc. How long should I expect to wait for this?

From briefly speaking to a friend who has gone through this process they mentioned that upon entering the US on K1 VISA to get married I will not be able to leave the country until I-485 has been completed (which can take several months??). Is this true? as this is somewhat disheartening since I am lead to believe that could take some time and I would rather continue working for as long as possible.

Your friend is right, you can't leave the US again til your advanced parole is approved or your adjustment of status green card comes through. You can get AP in about 3 months from filing for it.

If you want to maximise your UK stay time, you can just wait and not use your K1 to go to the States until it's nearly expired. It'll be valid from 6 months from your medical date. It's one use only, so once you're in, you've gotta do the adjustment and wait for that, else if you go back, you'll have to start all over again with an I-130 petition for CR-1 visa.

lost_at_sea - thanks for the feedback. I'll be sure to be reading through that link you posted. It's a shame about that issue as I'd much rather be working since I don't have a lot of money saved up and all the added fees will accumulate rapidly.
