I called the USCIS customer service line today concerning my petition. I was transferred on 06/21/2013 from Vermont to Texas, with an original NOA1 date of 1/24/2013. In listening to the information given to me, I was told that I have to wait an additional 180 DAYS FROM THE TIME OF THE TRANSFER OCCURRING TO BE OUTSIDE THE NORMAL PROCESSING WINDOW! I then talked to an agent there, and was told the same thing.

THIS IS COMPLETE AND TOTAL HORSE #######! I see that they can come after me if I don't respond to the IRS right away, but we cannot do anything to the for not processing a lawful visa request in the proper allocated time. I sent a nasty-gram off to Senator Rubio about this.

Its #######, complete and total #######.

I understand your aggravation.. We called today as well. Transferred on June 21st as well, noa1 was February 4th. Tier 2 told us we would be out of normal processing time in 8 days.. Which makes no sense at all. Try not to get too frustrated over it (I know, easier said than done) but at this point it seems like they'll say whatever it takes to get people off the phones.

So according to their rules they can transfer petitions back and forth for years and not do any work and it will be perfectly legal. I love this system!

My advice is, relax. They are processing petitions in Texas and you're not going to wait another 180 days. I watched all the folks that originally got transferred do the same thing you're doing, panic and complain, but many of them have been processed right around the 5 months mark. I'm willing to bet you'll see your NOA2 very soon. Be patient!

Edit: If not most, then many have been. There has been steady progress from Texas.

I agree with this from what I have been seeing on vj

the other option is to do an infopass.. the downfall here is that your petition will not be available to them to view

the good news is you sit in front of an IO who will be willing to scroll through various screens and most possibly get you a service request started..

outside of that.. you all should be doing your complaints: elected officials, omnibudsman, scopsscata and whatever else you can come up with.. 180 days after transfer.. what a buck of crp

I have waited my five months, patience is not something our government gives us, but yet we give it back?

And although this may seem horrible--look at it this way--the only thing TSC is focusing on is the backlog--they arent going to get any new requests--so I think we all just have to hold on a little longer and our time will come soon enough :)

My NOA1 was 02/04/2013....transfered to TSC on 06/21/2013....nothing yet. Everyday that passes I'm feeling hopeless. This wait is really bad. I got transferred and TSC started to approved march fillers and even april....I don't get it!!

My NOA1 was 2/5/13 and transferred to TSC on 6/21/2013. I am discouraged to say the least. I agree with you it does make you feel hopeless because nothing is happening. All I can do is pray and hope for the best with the process. I hope we all here something very soon!!!

We're really at the mercy of the Service Centers. I had reached out to my congressman about late May while petition was still at VSC (mine also transferred 6/21 to TSC) and they had fwd the email from the VSC Congressional Dept saying "VSC is processing petitions as of Oct 15" and nothing else, so they said wait. Now that we have been transferred to TSC our only hope is that batches from May are getting processed so I am hoping that by 6 month mark we'll get our NOA2. Otherwise really what can we do, keep reaching out to congressmen? But I feel for them to really do something is to have some skin in the game, and really why are we so special to them? We're not. So hence we're at the mercy of Service Centers. Idk, a bit bleak, but what else can we do :-/
