I don't really understand this

Because if they wanted to put you through AP,they usually tell you right away

They never say anything like,Pick your passport in a week

I know people from Pakistan who were told right away at the intervew that they will have to endure AP

And I also know people who were issued a visa in a couple of days and no AP

Don't freak out my friend

It might take time but your wife will get the visa soon

Good luck

Probably a good bet that admin process equals A P. This is nothing new in her country and should have been expected to limit the need to " freak out" .

A P takes an unknown amount of time during which people can get almost no info. I would keep in mind that things aren't exactly going great in Afghanistan on any given day so you can expect this to be very difficult to endure.

I should have said Pakistan.

This A P should not be seen as out of the norm especially in that part of the world. I know its difficult to endure for anyone.

Try to use politicians is a total waste of time. Especially when it comes to A P. They can do nothing to affect the process.

WHAT???

I CHECKED HER STATUS ONLINE, ALL IT SAYS IS READY, AND LAST UPDATE ON AUGUTS 8.

I HAVE BEEN READING THE FORMS AND FOUND OUT,

4 FEMALES FROM PAKISTAN

1 FEMALE FROM INDIA

AND 3 FEMALES FROM PHILIPPINES WERE TOLD THE SAME THING BUT ARE NOW UNDER AP

WHAT IS GOING ON. :(

WHY ARE YOU YELLING? Using caps lock is considered yelling in a public forum. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do but wait. AP in Pakistan can be anywhere from a few months to a year or more, there is one person on this forum from Pakistan who has been in AP 7 years. Visit the AP tracker for Islamabad, there are several people in the same situation as you. You cannot compare your vase to others, especially cases from other countries.

Visit this thread.

Sorry to hear about the AP that your wife has been subjected to. It's most likely due to the country of origin and also perhaps she has a common name that triggered matches on different (homeland security) databases. It does seem like embassies don't know if someone will be put under AP prior to the interview. It must be a final name check after someone's been given the approval to receive a visa and when they get matches, then they will need extra time to do a more thorough check.

Hopefully it's going to be a short process and your wife will eventually get her visa.

Unfortunately, there is nothing anyone can do to speed up the AP.

Noorullah bhai I'm in a same boat as you. You know my deal. Case is still under AP. They sent me two replies to my inquiries yesterday stating case is in AP and they can't say sh*t when it will be finished. Hang in there brov. InshaAllah we'll hear good news soon.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
