Have A# from expired OPT card, should I use it?

Maybe someone replied this, I was too lazy to read all that huge paragraphs of people posting. So, in my experience, I put the old A# but they issued a new one, since the way I got that A# was a different case then AOSing....so I think you'll get a new one, even though you can easily put in your "current" A#...it won't matter much...

OP here.

I received the I-797 Notice of Action forms in acknowledgement of the paperwork I filed.

There is a new A# on the I-797 that starts with a 2. The number from my earlier OPT card started with a 1. So far so good. I will post again if any red flags come up in the future over this, but I feel like I'm fine.
