Finally received our NOA today. It is dated from Sept. 03.

No biometrics letter yet

In that case, you may want to move to September filers thread?

Did your NOA come from VSC or CSC? I'm asking because some VSC filers's cases transfered to CSC and took some time to get NOA from CSC so...

I don't know exactly what they mean by local USCIS office, but I hope I don't get an interview :)

I originally thought that our case was transferred to our local USCIS office in Philadelphia, but it was actually transferred to the CSC (based on the letter I received from USCIS). Silly me, thinking "local" actually meant local.

But hey, if it speeds things up, great!

7 Mar 2011 - Mailed the I-130 package

12 Nov 2011 - Became a U.S. resident (+250 days)

18 Sep 2017 - Sworn in as a U.S. citizen (+2137 days)

Hey everyone, I just got 2 different text messages and emails saying, 1st, that it has been transferred to another office for processing that has jurisdiction over the case and 2nd, that is was transferred to local USCIS office. As far as I can tell, I am not the only one who got the mixed messages. I will wait for the actual NOA to let you know where it went.

Otherwise, my case was sent Aug 13th and Aug 15th is my NOA from VSC. I did biometrics on 9/19.

27 NOV 2019 - I-129F mailed to Dallas, TX Lockbox

02 DEC 2019 - NOA1

23 MAR 2020 - NOA2

Updated all. Please note that the June applications with messages "Sent to local office" and NOA2 with "Sent to CSC" actually got approvals from "Local Office". The good news is that the approvals are fast and the bad news, though not really bad news, is that we really don't know where the cases have been transferred. I don't want to conclude anything at this time - let's hope for faster approvals in a month or two.

Finally had the Biometrics. The Tampa Office was very busy. We arrived 5 min. early and had to wait for an hour. They skipped over our number so I had to bring it to their attention. Once my wife was called it took less than 3 min.

One more step complete.

It seems like we are the only ones who are not having our case file moved around to other offices.

Emmy, you can always follow both the threads but please make a decision to be in just one (technically you can be in either - but we are following the NOA1 as cut-off date as that is when USCIS recognized the application), so that we don't have duplicate applicant numbers. Not that every applicant is on this forum but among the ones that are, it is good to have right count/ statistics.

08/30/13 - Biometrics Done - No walk ins allowed at this LSC (received on 8/16/13).

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11
10/30/11 - POE - Houston, TX

Chennai Consulate (40 days)
10/28/11 - Received Visa papers and Passport at VFS
10/25/11 - Interview Cleared Successfully (Spouse was not allowed in)

NVC: (90 days from NOA2 to Consulate)
08/31/11 - Case Completed (Interview 10/25/11) - Received at Chennai on 09/19/11
07/22/11 - NVC Case Number

USCIS: (92 days)

6/21/11 - NOA2 (NOA1 on 3/25/11) - took a month to get to NVC
3/21/11 - I-130 sent to USCIS Lockbox, Chicago.

Any more transfers from VSC to .....

Yes, I got THE letter in the mail today saying I've been transferred to CSC. :-) Nice surprise to come home to. Hopefully it will be faster now!

The weird thing is, on the notice where the Case Type is, it says: Approved Removal of Conditions I89. But I know this is just a transfer letter.

Sneaky USCIS...

23 MAR 2020 - NOA2
