We will be filing our I-751 on 8/2/2013. If any of the August, 2013 filers have any question regarding their I-751, please use this thread and we will try to answer all the questions to the extent possible, including queries on the evidence that one is planning to send seeking comments/ clarification.

As you all are gathering documents, we wish you all the very best.

The 3 most important documents are given below. In one is blessed with a child, then that makes the 4 most important ones. But not having a child in the marriage is not at all negative.

1. 2011 & 2012 IRS Tax Transcripts.

2. Copies of the joint lease for the entire 2 years period in case of rent and copy of title deed in case of joint ownership.

3. One entire joint checking / saving account statement per quarter covering the entire 1 year 9 months.

Got a bit of a dilemma here: I'm getting all of our info together as we're sending out the first week in August. There are a few potential red flags. My husband and I don't have joint checking accounts. We don't believe in that and never have. We did file joint taxes together for 2011 and 2012. We also have a joint lease together, but it has expired and we are on a month-to-month basis paying until we move 1 September. One thing in our favor is that we are expecting our son in November and have loads of ultrasound photos to show.

Here is what we do have to send:

Copy of husband's green card

Copy of husband's social security card

Copy of both driver's license with same address

2 affidavits from friends about our continued relationship

Husband's passport pictures

Marriage certificate

Copy of current lease (expired, but shows 18 months tenancy not month-to-month)

Copy of notice to vacate

Joint tax returns from 2011/2012

MetLife insurance policy with husband as beneficiary

Car insurance documents with both our names

Car loan information with both our names

TSP beneficiary with husband as beneficiary

Retirement plan with husband as beneficiary

Copy of health insurance card and beneficiary list with husband

Costco membership with both names

Other:

Numerous photos of trips and events in chronological order

Copy of my daughter's emergency contact list at her school with my husband as primary contact

Copies of cards from holidays

I could easily get a letter from my OB specialist stating my husband has been present at all the ultrasound appointments. Also, we won't have our new lease as we're looking for our new place so we can settle by the 1st of September.

Any Advice? Should this suffice or should we add something more?

Basically what USCIS is looking for is a good evidence of living together (leases or joint ownership of living with parents ....) and a good evidence of inter-mixing of finances. And frankly speaking, you have good evidence.

Joint Checking or Savings account is not the only evidence eventhough it is a very popular one. You have joint Car Loan, which is equally good evidence of inter-mingling of finances. You also have other additional evidence too.

Mention in your cover letter, why you are going monthly after the lease expired, which should take care of that. Include some pictures showing wife's pregnancy status and a letter from the OB Specialist and this angle too is well taken care of.

All the best with your application.

There is no requirement to include a copy of your passport (pages). Green card is fine.

I add a copy of wife's new passport due to name change we planned to get done with I-751.

Copy of passport is not required, so it's expiry has no bearing at all. Copy of both sides of Green Card is a must. All the best with your application.
