AOS, AP, Maiden Name in Passport

So here's the thing:

1. My K1 visa is on hand and will be going to the US on July 24. Our wedding will be on July 27.

2. We understand we need to file an adjustment of status asap after getting married.

3. Will be filing for an AP and EAD along with the AOS.

4. I need to travel to the Philippines in November of this year.

These are my questions:

a. My AP will reflect my married name, correct?

b. If that is so, would that cause any conflict in my travel since in my passport I will still have my maiden name at the time I file for an AP?

c. Any insights on how to go about this?

Thanks.

A. If you file your entire AoS with you married name your AP, EAD and GC will have your married name. It doesn't depend on them (USCIS) is totally up to you. B. No issues at all, it doesn't matter if your passport has ur maiden, in my case I always travel with a copy of my marriage certificate just in case (never need it so far) c. In general, just follow instructions carefully, file as soon as you can, be ready for any RFE or interview app. Good luck! Andrea

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Ok, thanks! So then I could have my AP, EAD, and GC in my married name but can use my passport with maiden name during travel. smile.png
