Why would she raise the issue?

Is there any chance the OP could get the K-1 reinstated? It was never used... I'd contact the embassy and check.

What if she doesn't say a word about me at the interview? Will that make her chances higher?

Well, you wouldn't know until the interview is over. You are not supposed to conceal the purpose of your travel / getting a visa. She doesn't need to bring up the whole issue, but she might be asked about it.

I say her getting to you in USA, is going to be useless and the path will be fruitless.

Instead, you should make big plans to move to switzerland and stay with her whilst she's at university.

Sure, that means getting a job there and establishing yerself there, but in the short term, that's better for you.

In the long term, that's even better as well, as you folk will have a different life in switzerland.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

OP, simple answer, just forget about the tourist visa thing, re-apply the fiance visa and explain to the consular what's going on. The burden is to explain to them what happened that she went back - just be honest and I am sure consular would understand. Couples fight some time after all.

OP, simple answer, just forget about the tourist visa thing, re-apply the fiance visa and explain to the consular what's going on. The burden is to explain to them what happened that she went back - just be honest and I am sure consular would understand. Couples fight some time after all.

Should I just contact the embassy in Russia for that? Are you sure that's possible?
