It's a balmy 35 degrees here in California. :P

Quite freezing really but when we go outside all my son can say is, "yeah, it's a little cold".

Maggie, I know that one way you can get yourself to sleep or help a bit, is by taking melatonin. If you don't know about it, find your local health store and they should be able to give you all the information you need.

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5

Happy Hump Day !!

Still 72 degrees here in South Texas... we should see a high of 80 today.

But then everything changes... Charles' dern cold air is headed down this way (you know, you can just keep your air, OK ????) Starting tomorrow, afternoon highs of only 58-60, and overnight lows dipping to the *egad* freezing mark. :crying: I hate cold weather :crying::crying::crying:

I have work in the day and tonight we are going to my daughter's house for dinner. The pink FisherPrice digital camera came in the mail yesterday for Alexis! It is sooooooooooo cute. She likes to take my camera and take pictures of her parakeets. The pictures are cool, but the birds don't like it much. The first time, they about flew thru their roof, feathers all a flappin! Or Lexy will wait til your like scratching your nose and get a pic of that.

Hope you all have a great day. (F)

I hope it works. Last Xmas I got my sister a digital camera, not Fisher Price though. She used it once before it broke. :(

Well I guess I am the lucky one. It's still in the mid 50s to early 60s here. Shouldn't see any of this mess until tomorrow night. The one good thing about living on the east coast is that the storms lose most of thier strength by time it hits here. The only bad thing here has ben the fog. last night in some areas it was .2 mile visibility! Nuts! I hope my husband was careful when he left the house for work this morning. Maybe I should call and see if all is well with him. Should be a good day today. It'll be my second night in the bakery at my second job. I don't think it will be to hard once I get into the groove of things. Anyway, my stomach is a little upset this morning so I am going to cut this short and try to go make myself busy doing something productive. I hope you all have a good day.

ETA: I registered for two classes last night. Spanish 101 and College Algebra(on-line). Not sure if I'll be able to take the spanish class because we might go to morocco in the middle of the semester, but I will still be able to take the on-line course.

The stores are mostly sold out of these. It is so cute, all pink with flowers on it. There is a large button to push to snap the picture. She will love it! Now maybe she will leave my digital alone! I ordered this one from ebay.

Ditto!

The year as a whole has flown by. It seems just yesterday I was getting ready to meet Mohamed in person for the first time...it's been a year already! How can the year fly by but the visa process within that year drag on and on?

This whole month flew by for me! Seems it was just Halloween and now December is here. Wish the months would have flown by when I was waiting for Mohammed to get here. Back then, it seemed everyday was an eternity.

:innocent: How did you know I was thinking of you?!

ETA: I hate the ticker things. I don't think it's working right. I put Dec. 20th, and it says there's 20 day left now, but really there is 21/22 days left. What's up with that?!
