Chaging Interview Date

Hi,

I sent of P3 last month and I am awaiting P4. I am worried in case the interview is scheduled around the time my baby is due (which is in 6 weeks) , is it possible to change the interview date given the circumstances?

There are a couple of people on here who have postponed their interviews. Send the consulate an email, with your case number in the subject box, explain your situation and see what happens. Good luck with the baby!

P.S. If you sent off your P3 last month you should be due P4 any day. Normally the interview is only a couple of weeks away from then. Wait for P4 first before sending any emails....

I wouldn't reccommend sending the Embassy an email becuase I sent them one and got the reply of sorry but you weren't authorised to contact us so you message has been deleted.

If you can I would call them as they do say on the Package 4 letter that interviews may be postponed in emergencies.

If you reference your case number in the message line of the mail you shouldn't get the 'don't mail us' message.

Email is the better way to communicate with London. The operators on the helpdesk cannot change your interview.

We found London was most helpful when we needed to move our interview back one week -- emailing worked a treat

Not true I put my case number in the subject line and still received the don't mail us email and had to call them so it doesn't always work.

I moved my interview by a month because I wanted it later. They obliged with no trouble. I figured someone more eager got my place which probably made them happy.

What a journey this has been so far! I finally received P4 yesterday and the interview has been scheduled for 19th Jan 2007! Four days after our baby is due! I emailed the embassy to reschedule the interview and received the auto response. Would it be wise to write to them instead? Has anyone had any success of rescheduling on the telephone?

Hmmm. I would wait tosee if you get an email reply. Did you put your case # in the subject line?

I emailed the Embassy on 13th Dec and I am yet still to receive a reply despite putting my case number in the subject line. What would be the next best course of action? Would a telephone call suffice? If so would I need to call the premium rate number?

When I emailed them they took at least 10 days to answer me.
