You can typically get the packet from the US embassy website for that country, just takes a little digging (search tool helps).

Her is packet3 for Cameroon Us embassy hope it helps future members

Glad you finally heard from them and received your instructions. Thanks for sharing with others.

Really? So what is the magical search term? I was unable to find it even by plugging the actual name of that pdf into the search bar on the Cameroon Embassy website and someone who had not received the pdf yet would not even be privy to the name of the doc . A search for K1 on the site yields only one result, which is about the fee. I was unable to find it even by going to the /media directory and looking through the pdf files there. If it is hidden there somewhere, it is hidden well and it is not feasible for the average user to get to it.

I always search "Instructions Package" or go through the menu. I have looked it up for other countries too without much issue, but I did search Cameroon, to no avail -- I'm guessing they're not the most computer savvy, doesn't even look like they HAVE it there.

I also did say "typically". :P

Just wanted to inform members that Packet 3 difers from US consulates, from what I have read so far. In Cameroon, you gather all application forms and supporting documents and bring them all on interview date.No need to send Ds 156, Ds 230 and DS 156k, DS 157 in advence like others consulates.

No way, you can't imagine how far I went looking for this packet3. anyway the consulate finaly send it to me, and my hope is that future Cameroonian members will not stress the way I did waiting for this packet 3.

They take almost 1 month from the date they received my file from NVC fo send me packet3.

Okay, well this post was about Cameroon, and he posted the instructions he received from Cameroon and your reply did not at all sound like you were referring to embassy websites in general, considering the nature of this thread and your timing and wording of your post even if you added 'typically'.

Many consulates have you hand carry the forms to the interview. It seems like one of the major differences for your consulate is that they do not provide the general public with what forms they require and when and how to present them beforehand.

Yes, this consulate seems to like to make you wait to know what it is required. I hope you posting this can help someone going through Cameroon in the future. Good luck at the interview!
