Ok, Thanks everybody. I've just got too many hills to climb, so I set up a new email and Facebook account.

She never actually used the account. Her friend set it up just before she left. She is not on speaking terms with the person who set up the account. We have no idea what birth date was used. We will just start again.

I hate Facebook

i would contact FB and let them know that that is her name and someone set it up for her and it needs to be shut down. There's a report function to report that the profile is actually you/your info.

Facebook is pretty confusing on how to contact them. There doesn;t seem to be a direct support email.

I located the profile, but there is no option to report that I can find. According to FB it should be under the gear, but it is not.

Are you logged in when you look?

Create the new profile and locate the one she wants deleted while she is logged in. It should appear then.
