Hey y'all! My wife and I received a checklist after submitting the affidavit of support with few things we needed to included, correct, and also get a joint sponsor.

When submitting some of the requested material to the NVC will we have to submit an additional affidavit of support form, or just the requested objects with the attached barcode coversheet? - also take into consideration the affidavit of support form was remodeled from when we submitted the form originally.

My wife's affidavit of support that she filed for me was not approved, but when I spoke with a representative from the NVC he said that we needed to get a joint sponsor because she didnt make the minimum income even though I did it wasnt good enough.

But on the checklist they sent us they just required some financial documentation from us both.

Unless your job as the beneficiary will continue in the USA or unless you have a joint savings account in US funds, the NVC and embassy won't count you in the affidavit of support and neither should you.

I hope you are able to get a joint sponsor.

I would resubmit the forms, freshly dated and signed, but omit the evidence showing her income (aka don't resubmit tax transcripts or bank statements unless they've been updated.)

My first AOS was approved by the NVC but rejected by the embassy on a technicality. It included my taxes for 2011, 2010 and 2009. I submitted a new AOS with taxes for 2012, 2011 and 2010 plus a joint sponsor (my daughter) with her supporting evidence; taxes for 2012, 2011 and 2010 plus copies of 6 months pay stubs. The new evidence was accepted and my hubby is now home in the USA.

Your query makes no sense, as the OP clearly stated a checklist letter on the AOS was received, and stating what they (NVC) wanted.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

The checklist did not request a new affidavit, but I called them a few days prior receiving it, and the person I spoke to, was unclear wether or not we should.

- We did find a joint sponsor, and very quick too.. luckly!! we are both very young, and my wife (who is the petitioner) just started freshmen year of college and we she has no funds, but we were hoping they would approve it based on mine, but nope.

Hi, so your file was in AP because of you not including 2012 taxes or transcripts? Please elaborate.

Thanks
