RFE question

Hello fellow VJ members.. I am sorry I am asking too many questions but I am really worried about my case. :-( I hired an attorney to file our case in december 2012 and on june 20 we received RFE( our case was transferred to TSC) We mailed our lawyers all the documents uscis requested for in the RFE. But since then my lawyers are not responding to our calls. I just want to make sure they mailed uscis our rfe response. My question is that is there any way I can find out from uscis that they received our rfe response??I dnt trust my lawyers anymore.. Please help!!

One more thing that uscis never updated our case status. Its still on initial review even after receiving RFE.. I am just feeling lost.

If you call the USCIS and speak with a tier 2 officer, they should be able to tell you if the RFE response has been received.

My recommendation: drop the lawyer. Do it yourself with plenty of guides on this site. You won't know what is needed until you get the RFE letter from USCIS, which will tell you exactly what they need with time limitations. Good luck.

You should have access to everything the lawyer has access to. All the hardcopies of your paperwork is in your possession, right? You can contact the USCIS the same as the lawyer can. It's not like they have special permission to talk to people that we cannot. I would just make sure that the USCIS knows to send any correspondence directly to your address instead of your lawyer's address should you choose to continue without him/her. I never used a lawyer at any point during the process, so anyone feel free to correct if I got something wrong, but I don't think OP will be delayed at all by dropping the lawyers as long as they have all the paperwork in his possession.
