Hey There,

I applied for my wife September 2012 as a green card holder. But next month most likely I am going to be a citizen. So my question when I pass the test what should I do?

Is there any form that will need to fill up in order to change the visa category or anything.

I really need some advice on that.

After you become a US citizen, make an Infopass appointment at your local office and inform them that you wish you upgrade your existing I-130 petition to an immediate relative petition. Make sure you take your Naturalisation Certificate and a copy of the NOA for your I-130.

I heard somewhere that I have to fill up some kind of form, and after that do you think the time will be reduce or it will take same 9 to 12 month.

I don't think there is a standard form, but they will probably have a small thing for you to fill out, sign and date, etc.

It will probably shave a few months off the process for you.

You are not a US citizen until you take the oath. You should never represent to anyone that you are a US citizen until that happens.

Good news guys, Visa approved on 19th, today 09/23 they sent visa to NVC. Hopefully everything will be really quick.

You mean petition right? There is a big difference between visa and petition.

What is the priority date for your wifes I-130 ?
