15 days now, no NVC case number

How long does it take for the NVC to assign case number? It seems almost all those transfered to TSC who had their NOA2 are yet to be assigned a case number. Why is this so? Moreover, the expiry date on our NOA1 is Oct 20. Can any VJ member please help

Yes, I'm in the same boat as you are. I think they sent batches of two weeks of approvals to NVC and hopefully the first ones are gonna hear sth by next week.

I saw someone who's NOA2 was on June 24 and got her NVC number on July first. So I don't know how they handle that. My NOA2 is June 26 and I haven't tried to call yet.

Yeah unfortunately nowadays NVC is taking like 30-45 days to generate case number. It's been that way since about January 2013, hope it changes soon to lesser time to wait. It use to take like 2 weeks. Just keep calling them every morning, noon, and nite until you get it. Then as soon as you get it log onto the NVC payment portal to make first generated payment. And have the beneficiary spouse email the authorization form that allows you to be authorized agent. DS-3032 form I think that's the number.

The ones getting NVC case numbers are from VSC and CSC. Cases from TSC were still in Texas as of Friday 7/5/13. For some reason, TSC is not shipping them to NVC.

That s not true for a fiancé visa ...your visa is different The average time for fance visa is 7- 10 days but now they are saying 15 working dys... There ave been only 2 people from the Texas transfers for ki to get number s... Some other have been forwarded directly to consulate and have interview dates

Lets all wait patiently and see what unfolds in the coming week. It pissed me off when when my fiancee called the NVC and was told we will have to wait for 8 weeks. Am sure that guy didn't know what he said. Its hectic to wait for NOA2 and again be kept unnecessarily waiting for a case number

it is really not the nvc.. it is how long it takes uscis to forward the file.. this is the great unknown variable especially for the 130's

Yes its taking some time. I recieved my NOA2 April 9th and my case didnt arrive to NVC until April 29th and then I didn't recieve a case number until May 10th. Sorry that your experiencing this NVC is slow.
