That is sweet.... my son has non-verbal autism, maybe we will try that some day when he is bigger and a little more able to follow directions.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

I've heard about good things with horses too Penguin! Maybe as he gets older he can also have a service dog.

He loves our dog, cat and foster cats, is very gentle with them (we are lucky in that he does not suffer from many melt downs/ violent outbursts); helper dogs are often used for autistic kids that are prone to running, which he fortunately is not, but I think he may enjoy riding... nice and quiet, away from other people :)
