I lived the first 30 years of my life in Texas, went to UT Austin and NEVER called a magazine a "clip" EVER.

I DID call the clip of the M-1 rifle a clip.

Texas has a lot of people and some of them are stupid. No matter how many stupid people call a magazine a "clip" it is still not a clip. And "we" also do not call a tire a "wheel". Not only is it wrong, it makes one sound as if one is too f*ckin' lazy to pronounce a three syllable word.

We stuffed the fantasies of gun control right down Obama's throat, there is no reason we need to use improper terms. Let the losers speak like morons.

I have stripper clips for my A303 and mags for everything else but you know in slang mags are called clips in shooting ranges and hunting clubs everywhere. So, yea, we call mags clips in Texas and you know that is full dam well true LOL

maybe i hung out with the wrong crew - my dad and his hunting buddies. they were quite sticklers for terminology.

While your correction is noted and clips are one thing and mags are another I will say this: I never met a Texan ever who gave a dam what you called a clip or mag at the hunting camp. That's the kind of discussion that gets you branded a tool LOL. Just sayin' It's slang and when one is referenced as the other you know what that person is talking about.
