Waiting for my interview at the Buenos Aires embassy - for how long?

Hi everyone,

I started this (very long process) of getting the spouse visa in November 2012 from Argentina (me and my husband both live here, he is a US citizen).

A week ago, I got this email:

The National Visa Center has received all documentation necessary to complete pre-processing
of your case. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner
and attorney (if applicable) will be notified.

The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment
until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa.

The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of
the interview. Additional documentation requirements if applicable can be referenced at
the following URL: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3742.html

How long does it take to get my interview /typically)? What are the nexts steps..

YAY case complete email! Check into the August interviews thread to see if you can find anything. It can be anywhere from a few days until a few months depending on the embassy/consulate.

I have added you to the case complete Interview thread. Come on over. The interview scheduking should start next week. you can always call NVC and see if you got your date yet.. Or wait for email which usually comes same day. Most call.

Also I put your case complete date as 6/21. The case complete letter comes about a week after actual case complete and you said you receive letter a week ago. You can always when calling NVC ask them when you got case complete. This date is what gets you the order in which you are in line for your embassy for interview date.
