That's over 2 per day. That sounds high to me.

You will feel better if you divide 850 by 300,000,000. If you cannot handle that level of euphoria, try dividing by 30,000,000 (gun owners) It still may make you a little giddy.

It is lower than lightning deaths, not to mention "falls". So getting out of bed is far more dangerous. Going outside is reckless and driving in a car is suicidal...in comparison. Better just stay in bed and watch reality TV, sounds like real reality is a bit much for you.

I am all in favor of teaching gun safety, and the NRA has a FREE firearm safety program which it provides to your community or schools. It is a simple non-political formula for firearms safety. I suggest you get after your local representatives and your school board and get it in place in your community if it is not already. It is the "Eddie Eagle" firearms safety program and there are thousands of trained instructors nationwide.

Education prevents accidents.

How do you prevent accidental pregnancy? Automobile accidents? Ban sex? Ban automobiles? Or do you support sex education (I do, I taught my children about sex at a very young age...they can handle it) Driver education? All my children had both professional drivers ed and instruction from me. What did you do for your wife? Teach her to drive or ban her from automobiles? I taught my wife to drive.

I do not worry about my kids being shot in the face, despite all of them owning firearms. I do not worry about them drowning even though we live on a lakefront, because I taught them to swim. Is it possible they could drown? Yes, I have done all I can to prevent it.

Are you against educating people in the proper use of firearms?

What a quandry. Glad I never get myself into that sh*t by pre-choosing my opinions based on someone else's ideaology.

How would YOU carry a gun not made of Legos? Would you carry it how the owners manual says? Or do you make up your own way to carry it? Do you think not following directions results in greater safety and usefulness?

The purpose of the concealed handgun is to KILL. Anti-gun people say that all the time except when it does not work to their advantage. I agree. The only reason I carry a gun is to KILL someone that attacks me or my family. I do not use it for a hammer, tape measure, I do not open boxes with it, it has no "app" to tell me how to get somewhere, or even tell the time. I have one of those "dumb guns". It basically does nothing well except KILL people, specifically people, not deer, moose, pheasants or ducks, and that is why I chose it. It is not for hunting or target shooting, I have other guns for that. The guns I carry concealed, there are many to choose from, are specifically designed to kill people. Humans. They are designed and intended for "homocide". I have no trouble stating this because it is the clear and present fact of the matter. Even if you and Micheal Savage don't like it.

There are no "hours of operation" on a concealed carry permit.

GZ was legally armed, he was carrying the gun as designed and he used it for the purpose it was made for. Suggesting that makes him "guilty" is moronic.

Education is the best way of preventing accidents. Education is the best way out of poverty. Education would end many cities problems. Dare I say education would reduce the murder rate too? The majority of Chicago's murders aren't being committed by Rhodes Scholars. The majority of crime isn't being committed by college educated people. Driver education helps prevent accidents. Firearms safety instruction cuts down on gun accidents. Following directions can work wonders. Not using a hair dryer in the bath tub greatly reduces your chances of being electrocuted by the hair dryer. Be careful. Follow directions. Follow proper maintenance practices for items that require it. Don't put your hand in a blender while it is running. Respect that chainsaw you are using.

The 3300 deaths by drowning sound high to me too. I'm not going to howl about banning pools though (even though the number of pools is only 3% of the number of guns)
