It doesn't matter how he felt. The question is what would a reasonable person have felt.

Exactly!

I agree and I think the fact the TM approached his car and circled it twice , while GZ sat there with the windows rolled up and then doubled back and approached him at the T, proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that TM was was not scared of GZ in any way and choose to be aggressive, thus costing him his life.

Martin attacked Zimmermann in his car? That's new. I thought it was established that Zimmermann left his car and followed the teen he now claims he was so afraid of. Yeah, I'm sure I heard that somewhere.

A reasonable person would not follow an unknown person into an dark alley. A reasonable person would not attempt to detain a person for walking in the rain. A reasonable person does killi an innocent child so "they" don't get away this time.

The state presented half-truths and claims utterly unsupported by any evidence whatever.

And what exactly would those half truths and unsupported claims be? Do tell.

To me and to the court it seemed that the state presented an argument stronger than the defense. This is why the trial continues and will be decided by the jury.

Zimmermann's cell is getting prepped already.

I thought he was part of the neighborhood watch group and called the police who were on their way. Even if he lied and was looking to see were TM went, it is most likely they met by accident. If all GZ wanted was a confrontation and to shoot TM, he had ample opportunity to do that without calling the police, didn't he? A reasonable concerned person would call the police, which he did. And we all know that GZ's plan wasn't to shoot TM. Even though you, Steven and MBD may not see due to your bias. TM was not shot because GZ didn't want him to get away, and we all know that too. It's never been an issue at all. GZ was so guilty that the police waited 40+ days to even file charges. Without the outcry because it was white killing black, there would never have been a trial. The outside turned this into a racial event.

Tm circled GZ's car which proves he was not afraid. If GZ wanted to confront him, why did he roll up his window and report the incident to the police.

To methat incident proves the mindset of TM and GZ. If GZ wanted a confrontation , then would have been the time. The fact he rolled up his window and choose to ignore him speaks volumes.

To you and absolutely no one else save a few black activists on TV. Even many legal analysts who are openly saying they think GZ is guilty have admitted it went badly for the prosecution.

A reasonable person would not follow an unknown person into an dark alley. A reasonable person would not attempt to detain a person for walking in the rain. A reasonable person does killi an innocent child so "they" don't get away this time.

A reasonable person could not absorb the facts that have come out this week and arrive at any of the above nonsense.

Well, the court certainly disagreed with those legal analysts and decided that the state has met the initial burden to move the trial forward. You better hope those were not the same legal analysts that you hang your hopes for an acquittal on. If they thought the defense made a better case on Friday than the state, they've got that one wrong. Makes you wonder what else they'll get wrong, doesn't it?

Firstly, there is only one person that substantiates this circling of Zimmermann's car. And that is Zimmermann himself who has quite demonstrably an issue with the truth. Besides, while it may still might not have gotten through to you but this isn't about Martin. It is about whether Zimmermann's claim to have feared for his life or great bodily harm meets the standard of being reasonable. Forget whether the teen was afraid of Zimmermann, if Zimmermann was afraid of the teen then he would arguably not have followed him into the dark. No reasonable person would do that.

And only you thought they would not move the case forward? Find me a real expert (not Patriot) that thinks they were not going to go forward with a defense.

The defense has not made a case yet.

There is no way the judge would NOT move this case forward absent a dismissal of charges by the state and you know that is not going to happen. The state TRIED to dismiss the charges based on the evidence when the shooting occurred and could not because of noisey racists.

This is a puppet show to try to appease YOU. It won't work, you will still be upset that justice is served, just as you were upset when justice was served by GZ. For you it is not going to make any difference, but those of us who knew all along he did what needed to be done will be able to say "you had your trial, you lost, get over it!"

I assure you I will say that. Just like I did when your weenie Senators couldn't even get a background check against a "weak" NRA.

Big Dog. The prosecution is finished. Why are you trying to make the case for them? Are you not satisfied with what they already presented? The pablum spilling from your keyboard makes no difference. The state rests. The defense now begins.

I disagree, but not because of racial bias.

I think the only people that wanted justice at first were of one racial group, but that's not racist. The black community has had to face these kinds of racially charged issues before and I believe they initially believed it was racially motivated, but it's just poor police work from a less than professional police department.

The non-emergency call language by GZ shows intent to find a suspect. I would even say he is acting as law enforcement in his own mind. His written statement is a glimpse into that mindset; using the words suspect and other jargon.

This, in my opinion, is enough to warrant the charges. It's probable cause to arrest and charge. He was instructed to not do what GZ went on to do. Why? Because they don't want citizens doing policing this way. Observe and report.

In the video walk through the police do a terrible job explaining body position verses GZ's statements. How they traveled 50 feet while being on the ground the entire time? How GZ got his weapon out while on the ground, on his back with TM on top. How in a 45 second encounter with a 17 year old could an adult who is armed handle this so badly? He's culpable. The investigation was terrible on tape and worse on paper.

GZ didn't intend to kill. It's not he's a cold blooded killer or innocent person.

He's someone in the middle. Being in the middle makes him responsible in a way for a death of a human and that has consequences so that we don't turn into the wild west with everyone thinking they can apprehend totally innocent teens, then accidentally shooting them. TM is also responsible to some degree, but he's paid all he could owe.

Something else happened than what has been stated in the 2 missing minutes in GZ's search, because it doesn't add up with the physical evidence. GZ is the survivor and he's been caught lying about a number of things, even in court. His wife has been charged with perjury in the bail hearing snafu. So he's no angel and he's not above breaking the law.

"The audio recordings of Mr. Zimmerman's phone conversation while in jail make it clear that Mr. Zimmerman knew a significant sum had been raised by his original fundraising website," attorneys said last week. "We feel the failure to disclose these funds was caused by fear, mistrust and confusion. The gravity of this mistake has been distinctly illustrated, and Mr. Zimmerman understands that this mistake has undermined his credibility, which he will have to work to repair."

The fact is if you'll break the law over money, you'll surely break it to save your @ss. He's responsible for the death that's obvious. Now he'll pay what he owes for all the bad decisions that night. It's cut and dry.

My two cents...

And as the defense made points with States witnesses the state will make points against the defense.

Sometimes the State doesn't call witnesses because they know they can cross whoever the defense is calling.

I'll offer you the same wager I offered himher on page 10 of this feed.

And only you thought they would not move the case forward?

No, the defense apparently thought that. That is why the defense moved for a judgement of acquittal yesterday. And after the defense made the argument in support of their motion and the state made the case against it, the court denied the defense motion. That means that the court believes that the evidence presented by the state is sufficient to sustain a conviction for murder in the second degree. It doesn't mean that the defendant will be convicted of that charge but according to the court, there is enough evidence to sustain such conviction. Look, if you want to participate in the discussion, then you ought to pay attention to what's going on.

Big Dog. The prosecution is finished.

No way. Really? You found that out all on your own? Wow!

I think Zimmerman himself added some insight about his mindset. He says he expected the police to be there soon after he left his car and started looking for street signs he knew were not there, and avoided looking at the addresses to his right. The address he gave initially was his own address, and remembering how he screwed up the time before by giving the wrong address when he called in another suspicious person, he ran over to Retreat View Circle, to see if the cops were there, at his house. Not seeing the cops, he walked back toward his car. (Why? Who was he looking for? Martin? or the cops? Maybe both.) That was the testimony he gave in the Hannity interview. That Hannity interview is going to be used to impeach several previous statements he made to the cops. Mora was sitting right next to him the whole time that was taped. Zimmerman didn't have benefit of counsel at the police interviews.
