I-134, Employer letter - Scanned or Original?

My fiance has been trying to get hold of a letter of employment for about the past two or three weeks, they keep passing the request around to different departments. I think he may have finally got it, but he said it's been scanned and so I'm assuming won't have an original signature.

Will this be an issue? I don't know how strict London are going to be with something like this. And since we are just using the employer letter and pay slips as proof, I don't want them to have any doubt over how genuine it is. Should I push for him to get an original signature?

Hey

I really wouldn't worry about it. More important than this are the tax returns - do you have these?

The letter is also useful but I would say it's more secondary than the tax returns...

Good luck!

Nope, we don't have tax returns as my fiance was in the UK previous years and made less than $9000 back then.

Don't worry about it - I had the same scenario - my fiancée's tax return for last year didn't add up to much either because she was living in the UK with me for half the year...they just took them anyway with the employment letter and it was fine. Good luck!

Yeah, as he didn't file we will just take the employment letter and as many pay slips as I can carry. Someone else advised this should be fine for London.

Hi, during my interview when I was asked for the proof of employment to support I-134. I gave them a faxed letter (not the best copy either) from the employer and they didn't ask for anything else but this can depend on cirucumstances and the officer. I think together with pay stubs etc you should be ok.

It is not where I breathe but where I love that I live.
