Well i've been in mine for 3 years also, married in November 2012, filed in the beginning of March. It's not been very long yet. There are people waiting since December, January and February still. Not to mention November and October (though i secretly hope those are just those who didn't update their timelines). He still has some time to find another job. Keep your hopes up. You're already in it anyway (in the process i mean).

People who give up don't succeed. Sorry if it sounds harsh.

Don't have a timeline? Don't know how to get started with it? Do it for the statistics sake: VJ video guide

Filing for a USC spouse visa (IR-1/CR-1) and not sure what comes next? Check out the VJ IR-1/CR-1 guide

Want to know what's happening with your case? Here's the USCIS tracking page (get an account and see if the case's been 'touched'!). Don't get your hopes up though, some cases never even appear there despite being successfully processed.

No, the date of last update of our case was 8th of March. I hope to hear something in a couple of weeks. Also asked my husband to call Tier 2, he tried once, then they dropped his call after 45 minutes on hold so he's going to try again this week. :) Just trying to find out if we're in a local office already.

Please don't give up. I understand how you feel. Me and my husband have been in a relationship almost 8 yrs married for almost 3. This process is not easy and being away from your spouse along the way is even more touch. We wanted to file right after we were married again the government were slow with his neccessary papers, not to mention you have to have money to file. There have been times when I wanted to give up but it's the ppl that endure the hard times that will enjoy the fruits of their labor.

I understand trust... not to mention if you speak to tier 2 IOs (immigration officer) they truly act like idiots sometimes too. Sometimes I feel like I would do better by talking to a wall for answers than them. lol This is because even when you speak to tier 2 IOs they really don't know much about the case because it's not with them. It's basically the main number but what everyone need is the number where their petition is physically and speak to them. I think then maybe we can get some correct information. Right now I'm trying to find a true direct number to NBC in overland park office. No luck yet. Glad you feel a little better about the situation. Remember you're not alone. A lot of us are in your shoes give or take a size or two lol

I'm sorry for your situation...

My wife and I are in a similar situation... Times are very tough under normal circumstances, add the difficulty of a foreign-national marriage and it becomes very burdensome... Of course a lot of contemporary issues are solved with money! Money money money is so important...

But if you two love each other then just hang in there...

My wife and I have been married for almost 5 years, together for 6.... But we've been away for over 2 years total.... due to travel/visas.... Right now I've been away from her and my 11 month old daughter for 8 months... and I have no idea when I'll see them again.

But just loving them and trying my best to bring us together is important.

Keep trying and find alternatives routes if possible...

it's really really hard to be far away from our beloved ones.....i dont know what else to say
