Why? Why do people choose to combine income with a household member? Why? Do you share taxes with this person? Does he depend on you? Do you depend on him and he claims you on your taxes? Why?

I never understand why people choose to do the household member route, it's like they completely misunderstand the meaning of "household member."

I think there are a great many people on this site that should be using a service or lawyer. Hey Debbie, maybe we should open one up part time? LOL!!! Since you'll be busy flying on company jets, though, maybe I should...

Niki's new job... NIKIR IMMIGRATION SERVICES - not a lawyer but I'm good at paperwork! LAWL!!!!

I have helped so many in the last year I am sure i would have already cleared a million but I just help out the goodness of my heart.

But it would be interesting.

**Special note ya'll need a IM chat on VJ for you. I swear you are filling up my inbox. hehe

And who is thread jacking. I wanna know. hehe ;)

Darnell when you coming here man i need Pho before i start this new job (I don't think they have Pho in New Orleans).

I never heard of Pho before moving here. But, I didn't live in a very large city either. 90k people maybe? Too many "chain" restaurants but I got sick at too many of the non-chain ones so I tended to avoid them.

90k is a pretty large suburb.

The problem I've found w/Canada is that these towns are all separated.

It's 90k and then a bunch of farm land for 30 minutes, then another 90k.

In the US, it's like 90k, then cross the street to 55k, cross the street to 120k, cross the street to 30k etc etc.

That's exactly how it is!

Well for Alberta to here it was like:

RED DEER with 90k..... 30 mins apart -bunch of small towns..... another hour ...

F*CKING CALGARY! ..... bunch of little towns.... omg wind farms... wow...............

LETHBRIDGE - smaller than Red Deer, bigger than whiny towns.........................

border...

MONTANA............................ city...................................city..................................

wyoming...................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz................................city.........

DENVER METROPOLIS AREA!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL, maybe they'll stay Amish?

Did you ever meet Hutterites in Canada?

I didn't name it... Wikipedia did.

Hutterites are like the Amish. But they get new stuff... like brand new trucks, vans, tractors, equipment, household appliances etc... But they are the bane of retail people in Alberta. They love to haggle. If you have 100 boxes of candy on sale, 75% off after Halloween, they will say "I'll take them all for 90% off" and bug you about it until you get annoyed. They also like to steal. They'll return things with no receipt just to get money. Most places these days don't take anything back without one, but Zellers used to give people gift cards.

I remember one time I get called up to customer service to find a frustrated cashier and a bunch of hutterite women. One was trying to return a coffee maker that she claimed she just got a month ago, but had no receipt because it was a gift. Normally customer service would say okay, but it has to be at lowest sale price and put on a gift card. But this time, when the item was scanned it came up as a penny. That's right, 0.01cent. Why? Because when we discontinued items they'd do a bunch of sale drops and then finally go down to a penny when we no longer carried them YEARS later. Basically for it to be a penny, no Zellers in Canada should have had it in stock for a year. This hutterite lady was arguing, but I just got it!!! So I explained to her, I cannot change the price it rings in at. It's a penny. I can take the item back and give you a penny, or you can keep the item. It's been so long that we've not carried this item, I can't even look up any previous prices for it! (Zellers didn't have an easy computer system to look things up in either, all you had was the little scanner.) So she finally accepted that and walked off.

Another time a bunch of them were in the store and an employee noticed an electrical cord hanging from this woman's skirt (they're normally ankle length skirts.) Suddenly there is another cord?! So when she tries to leave, the lost prevention person stops her. Turned out she had a toaster and some other small appliances stuffed up under her skirt! It wasn't the first time they tried to steal either. They'd often change tags, add items to boxes, or try to walk out with unpaid merchandise because they'd come in trying to return something. Whenever they were in the store everyone kept an eye out. Of course there are so many of them, it's hard to do!

[re mow-lawning]

Did it again Sunday. Lurched out of bed at 9:45a, saw the darkening skies, and was blearily determined to nuke the grass before the downpour. Started the mower at 10:30. Had I awakened and started 45 minutes earlier, I'd have avoided the subsequent clear blue sky with no breeze and 90+ temperatures, ufffffffff man.

However, the activity was successful* and, as of the coming week, I can resume the usual Friday-eve schedule, whee man.

* After mowing, blew nose; amidst gobs of snot were macro-particles of mulched grass. Also, was nailed by no mosquitoes and just one fire-ant, ouch man.

Well.....better luck next time.....

Ah -- if Brother Steve's comment is a light-hearted wish that next time's mow-lawning were more than a "very nearly" killing of myself, here's a repeat of a post from 30 January 2010, see man:

A Dream, in One Act (not original, unfortunately)

Having again refused to consider evidence that had been brought to the interview, the CO at the consulate in Guayaquil, Ecuador had yet another innocent visa applicant by the collar and belt, and was preparing to heave him physically from the premises as a "fraud," when they tripped over a bottle, out of which popped a genie. The genie said, "Because it is obvious that you are mortal enemies, I will grant ONE of you ONE wish, and the other will automatically receive DOUBLE of what the first has wished for." The applicant immediately said, "I wish to be half-dead!"

Men clearly don't notice anything

Notice what?

Return all the junk mail into the mailbox. Make the companies pay postage.....

A postal carrier told me that "pre-sorted first class" stuff (= most junk mail) is never returned to sender. What I have done is to tear their solicitation letter in half and mail it back in their "business reply" envelopes (often enclosed), si man.

He musta thought you had the cooties smile.png
