I have 7 maybe 8 people that are fully competent in everything they do (out of 30). There are 2 Naval Academy, and one West Point graduates here. They're awesome! I don't have to oversee anything they do.

When I was young, I always wondered why is it so hard to get a job with no experience......

The younger ones here are just useless....

I'm very very frustrated by all of this. I'm seriously thinking about packing it in....(retiring, not going to find another job)

And the West Point guy is the most polite, modest, and humble guy I've ever seen! He's so polite it's sickening!

Can I please work for you? I didn't get a raise for 3 years at my old company. I worked about 700+ hrs of unpaid overtime the year before I left. The owner of the company couldn't afford to give us raises or any sort of bonus but he was a nice guy and created a decent working environment. If I had to leave early (say 2:00 pm) I would always come in at 6 am and work right thru lunch to get my work completed.

That would be one heck of a commute for you!

That's true lol. Moe I'll let you know if you're serious. We are not hiring, but demand a lot in education and various experience.........700 hrs is crazy OT to work for free.....

I'm sure you do. I felt pretty bad for my wife going stir crazy at home while she waited to be able to work. She'd worked since elementary school, no way is she happy sitting at home. At least I was able to take my lunch with her every day. Now she misses those days, but wouldn't want to go back to them, because she knows how it would make her feel. But they were a good time to. If you can manage it, enjoy the days you have now. I hope they finish with your background check soon, so you can join the ranks of us overworked folk.

Aww thanks Cary. My husband loves the fact that he does not have to do anything around the house right now because it is all done for him and that he gets lunch made for him most days.

I know 700 hrs was alot. When the company started to grow, that is when I went and asked for a salary increase even though I was going to be leaving and my boss knew that. I ended up with an increase of $10,000 plus an extra week of vacation time.
