3 year without vacation? Or without a week off? Big difference.

I'm ready to take another vacation lol. I take like six 10 day vacations a year smile.png

Cary fly to NYC, show your wife the big apple...

I did take three weeks off when she arrived in 2011. Although that was a lot of running around town, showing her things, introducing her to people, and hiding in the bedroom (hey, it had been a year since we were together lol). Since then just a day off here and there to do things. So essentially, two years without a week off.

Wow you take 12 weeks of vacation a year! Wish I had that.

I've had enough time off.... Ugh. I have to find a notary for this letter, most that I contracted said any bank can do it, even if I don't have an account there. Someone told me a post office should be able to as well? Then I can send it off for my ex to bring the kiddo down.

Hubs might have to go to OK city for a month on Aug 14. Training for work. Kiddo is here until the 27th ish so he'd fly over and I may or may not drive over too. I prolly should stay here and get a job but but but... I just got him and I don't want to Skype with my husband anymore!

I understand that Niki. My work was quoting a job that may have kept me out of state for a month. My wife has been here almost two weeks, but no way do I want to be away from her for a month! I was actually happy when we didn't get that job.

I guess when I was younger, I can go long periods without vacation. But now as I'm more demanding in my quality of life. I take about 60 vacation days a year.

You've gotta do the same professor....

Nik, can you go to OK too?

If I owned the business, maybe I could. Also maybe my wife will convince me to retire once my youngest daughter finishes school. But given she wants to be a lawyer, thats down the road a bit headbonk.gif

I don't own my company, but I might as well.....I do care about this organization. It's my livelihood.

A JD gets your daughter a long way.....whether if she wants to practice law or not....so I hope she does attend law school.

She's got two years of high school left, so what she wants to do can easily change yet. College is certainly in her future, and most likely some type of advanced degree, even if she changes her mind on law. She's a hard worker when it comes to school. My oldest was actually the smarter one, but also the lazy one rofl.gif

That was me lol, got thru school on a photographic memory. Very lazy.

I tended to be lazy too, I was just very bright and quick to pick things up, so I never needed to work hard. I did the work though, something my oldest always neglected to do while in school. She'd get great scores on tests and quizzes, then get a bad grade because none of the rest of the work was every done, and when it was it was, she didn't turn it in. Drove me crazy when she was in school. The youngest is not as smart, but she does all the work and studies hard to get good grades. Mostly B's with some A's. And she takes all the advanced courses to, not the free good grade classes.

I knew a guy in college who had a true photographic memory. He could pull any fact he had ever seen out of his head and recite it. I think that spoiled him, because he couldn't think. Given a bunch of facts, he couldn't come up with a conclusion on his own. He could only recite conclusions he had seen made by other people. He was on his 4th attempt to retrain for a career because of the inability to draw his own conclusions from facts.

I just bought a mask, snorkel, and fin socks from amazon.......

Professor, I got a dry snorkel, is that what I should get?

I don't care for a dry snorkel, I'd rather feel the water starting to come in and stop inhaling. I hate the sudden shut off when you're breathing in and want that last bit of air in the snorkel. What you want to really make sure you have is a self venting purge snorkel. Then when you exhale to clear the snorkel of water, it purges out of the bottom of the snorkel. It takes less force and less energy when you're in the water, and clears more completely.

I just threw out most of my old books that's been sitting in boxes for years and years. There were a dozen new books still in their wrapping hat were never used. I saved my 1907 Merriam Webster dictionary and a couple of law books.

Ok gonna see if I can change. All this snorkel has to do is get me to the bottom of my boat......

Much has to do with how comfortable you are with the snorkel. Some people love the dry snorkels, but I find they always end up with some water in them that you can not totally clear. That adds resistance to breathing, and resistance to breathing tires you out. And you don't want to get tired out while working underwater. There are dry self venting purge snorkels to. Check closely on the snorkel, you might have one.
