Well, it seems I lost 9kg (19 pounds or so in Imperial) over the past 4 weeks. And I had my band fill yesterday without any major issues though it took 3 attempts for the consultant to find the entry

Oh you weren't here frenchy.....

Back in march, I went to malasia with my wife and child to attend SILs wedding. The SIL got a luxury home handed to her by her in laws. And wanted to borrow from my wife to renovate it. 28 years old and wanna live like a queen.

I had a terrible trip, daughter got ignored because the family was too afraid that they'd offend the other SILs savage 5 year old boy. Whom we were supposed to bring back to the USA, after a second trip to Hong Kong with him included......but we didn't bring him back, left him there to rot...

Lotsa fighting between tiff and I before and during the trip. Terrible accommodations in Malaysia. Almost divorced over it.....

I get where you are coming from. Chinese society can be tough. My best friend at Uni was a Chinese Singaporean . He used to tell me crazy stories about his family. His grandfather had three wives and he was the grandson of the youngest wife. As a result he would have to kowtow to his fat elder cousin (grandson of the eldest wife). This cousin insisted on having his own birthday party and cake every month as a child. My friend woulda e to sing Happy Birthday to his cousin every four weeks!

Right frenchy. Except in this case, I'm the bread-winner of the entire extended family. So, they can all kiss my butt. And that's why that savage kid didn't get to go to HK Disney.....and is currently not in the USA. Cary has it right, the rants were endless....

I'm back now. My mother died last week, and I'm the person who always took care of everything for her, and so the funeral fell to me also. I never knew setting up a funeral was so much work. Plus of course sometimes it was completely emotionally draining to do some of the things that had to be done. She resting peacefully now, and she had the funeral she wanted. I know that well because I had discussed it with her about 10 years ago when her health was going bad. I'm so very thankful to my wife for being such a great support to me. She lifted my spirits up, when on my own I would have fallen.

Oh my Dear I am so very sorry. Please accept my deepest sympathy's . And yes its alot and when it all falls on you sometimes you don't even get to really grieve until everyone goes home. Thank God for your wonderful wife.

Do take care of you and grieve however you deem fit. We are all here for you.

Thank you. Keeping busy with all the work that needed doing was actually therapeutic for me. I grieved pretty heavily at times because of the things I had to face. OK I cried like a little school boy who didn't get the candy he wanted rofl.gif Her funeral mass was very good for me too. Then one more shot of losing it at the burial and I've been OK since. It was good sharing memories of her with family and people who knew her. Sometimes when you're the one there looking out for them when they're frail for so long, you forget the person they were when they were younger and strong. It was really good to be reminded of those times.

Thank you. It was a real comfort to have the work done and be with family and friends at the funeral.

I'm back in the office today, so the dishwasher awaits my arrival.
