You mean like a vespa? There aren't any, I don't believe. That would be of no use for him here, though. It takes 30 - 45 mins to get to his would-be workplace in a car, so in something that small it would take ages. It's a good idea, though.

I got the job! I start Monday morning. Hubby's green card came today, and he also got an email telling him he's got his first job interview on Tuesday! Yay! Lots of good news lately!

One complaint, though... I'll be glad when hubby can get his license. His test is on August 6th, but if this job comes through we're really going to be needing family favors. Between work, doctor's appts, and stuff for school, we're going to be running ourselves ragged as it is, and I just won't be able to be in two places at once all the time... I hope he gets this job, but at the same time I'm wondering how we'd do all the running around.

She must be really worried about Mini-Bone... And how did he take the separation from you? Was it okay, or was that a disaster?

Mrs. T-B. has a maternal instinct that I never dreamed of. In fact, it was my chief (and unspoken) concern when it came time to commit to marriage.

We left at o'dark-thirty. Mama-Mrs.-T-B. took our place in our bed. When Mini-B. awoke, he was a bit startled to find her there instead of us, but he adapted well and had no problems that day. After bedtime, he awoke at 3 a.m. and went to the window in "his" room, looking outside and wondering where Mommy & Daddy were. However, he recovered after that and was largely fine.

He was asleep (napping) when we got home. He appeared in the bathroom as I was finishing up post-trip grooming, and said "Daddy?" Of course, we showered full attention on him (as we would have regardless). He was fine. We're indebted to Mama-Mrs.-T-B. for her lifetime of adept experience with 5 kids and 6 grandkids, si man.

She has been poked and prodded so much in the last 24 hours that I don't think she will ever want to go back to the doctor.

The only thing worse than what she's going through is the pain that you, the parents, are going through. Keep the faith, si man.

I do indeed have a blender, but it's a hand blender rather than a mixing blender (if that makes sense). Dinner tonight for me, as an example: I had mashed potatoes with a bit of extra milk mixed in as well as blending in some wafer-thin ham along with some puréed baked beans. Wasn't half bad if truth be told - but that's given me the idea of getting some tomatoes to go with my chicken strips I have in the fridge, some seasoning and giving that a whirl.

The good news is that you have an appetite and are thinking "forward," which indicates that the surgery was a success and that you're recovering apace. Keep it up, si man.

Mrs. T-B. just broke her blender, and Brother Darnell has read my mind with his suggestion to scope the charity resale shops for a replacement. Garage sales are another venue. No sense paying retail if one doesn't have to, no man.
