Hubby is flying to get me in 4 days. So much to do, so little time!

Thank you for the good thoughts. Its nice to be missed. just been busy with grandkids, and taking recruiters calls. have an interview tomorrow so things have been poppin lately.

Well, it seems I lost 9kg (19 pounds or so in Imperial) over the past 4 weeks. And I had my band fill yesterday without any major issues though it took 3 attempts for the consultant to find the entry

That is interesting. Maybe I'm just a pragmatist, but for me, alimony is to support a stay at home spouse who spent a really long time out of the workforce and would take a while to find new employment or get retrained, it isn't for short marriages.

Well he was a stay at home father, but wondering if it wasn't because he wouldn't go out and look for work. Which may also be the reason she booted his butt. There are stay at home parents, and there are parents that stay home with kids but do little. He gave no real reasons for what came about or why he isn't working now or then, so the imagination has to fill it in based on how the other things he says come off. Even if he could get some short term spousal support based on a marriage of their duration, the time to try and get was during the divorce, not after the fact.

My state does spousal support based on time of marriage, and ability of each party to support themselves. Its almost always temporary, so they can work or go to school to get on their own feet. Gone are the days of maintaining someone's lifestyle at the marriage level because they don't want to work.

If they decide to go that way let’s hope for the children’s sake that they can get registered in school when they are just visitors to the US...

woo hoo ! I likes going crabbing, just with a string and some bacon... i fondly remember a bayhouse, my son and I would get crabs often...

They have lotions for when that happens now.

Going fishing not a bad idea. But my friends are all working.....

You get like 4 or 5 more inches between you and the seat in front of you. I've done it when I could. It helps, but its not always available.

As to business class, its like three times the cost! An $1800 ticket is now $5000. We get raked over pretty good in Minnesota, because Delta handles about 80% of the flights in and out.

The teen recently completed her diploma exams in English. She had to do one essay that was based on personal experiences.

She told me last night that her essay was on the sacrifices that mothers make and how my ex wasn’t good for me but was good for her so I stayed longer than I should have.

It was a bittersweet thing for me.
