Well, it seems I lost 9kg (19 pounds or so in Imperial) over the past 4 weeks. And I had my band fill yesterday without any major issues though it took 3 attempts for the consultant to find the entry

Yeah all the on-line translators translate each separate word, not caring about the meaning of the whole sentence. Which is funny, but still kinda understandable wink.png

If "si" means "yes" (which is how I read it), in Polish it will be "tak, kolo". Tho it sounds more better as "si,man" biggrin.png

I haven't told you the precise term for "wedgie", since I still haven't found it...

OK, so I googled it (since google has answer to all questions lol), and I finally got the answer: "wedgie" in Polish is "zmajtkować" laughing.gif It's a verb tho, so it has to be conjugated.

So...

I'm zmajtkowany

You're zmajtkowany

He's zmajtkowany

She's zmajtkowana

It's zmajtkowane

We're zmajtkowani

You're zmajtkowani

They're zmajtkowani

3. The "man" from your phrase was translated as "człowiek", which is right since "man" is "człowiek" in Polsih.

Tho I still think "kolo" will be better, even if "kolo" rather means "buddy' in English.

1. It wasn't, sigh man. Read, that is -- the thought would have been obvious, had it been read, tak kolo.

2. Linguistic victory yet again for T-B., si człowiek.

3. "Kolo" is easier for gringos to spell than is "człowiek," si człowiek.

1. i am uncertain if there is just one word in Polish resembling 'wedgie' in english.

noun - the visual after the verb is applied.

example - You gave me a wedgie !

verb - to grasp the backside of another person's underbritches, grasping firmly, and pull UP until the underbritches have transformed into a glob of cloth, firmly 'wedged' into the crack of one's #######.

example - Keep running your mouth, and I will wedgie you.

There are also varying degrees of wedgies, based on how high up the underbritches were pulled, or how much material makes it into the crack of one's #######.

2. For a married couple to do this, as an entertaining hobby - I don't get it. I find our time better spent in a 2 or 3 hour session of tantric massage, instead. When I say I don't get it, I truly mean that - I am very aware of wedgies and how to give one - usually it's done as a psychologically-damaging event, male to male, to establish superiority. 1. Considering the whole sentences finished with "si, man" or "no, man"... It might be translated a little different...

"Si man" could mean "oj tak".

"No man" could mean "oj nie".

Just to emphasize what's been said in the sentence (that's how I read it wink.png)

2. The thing is I don't translate English to Polish. When I read in English (books, stories, forums), I switch myself to English, think in English, write in English... If I started to translate the reading text into Polish, it would take much more time to absorb and my brain would be a mess rofl.gif

2. Lucky you, si człowiek. Being able to think in a different language is a major boon.
