Well, it seems I lost 9kg (19 pounds or so in Imperial) over the past 4 weeks. And I had my band fill yesterday without any major issues though it took 3 attempts for the consultant to find the entry

Blame www.freetranslation.com, even though it did a fairly literate job of translating the Polish back into the intended English.

What is the correct Polish terminology for "si, man"? And you still haven't told us the precise term for "wedgie," no man.

Unexpected surprise in the mail today. My damage deposit from my apartment back home.

Went garage-saling today. What a waste of time. At a house in one of the richest 'hoods in town, the sellers were trying to sell stained, torn, frayed bath towels for $5 each. Some of them, I wouldn't have even considered as shop-rags, no man.

I did buy about a dozen women's items (hold on, now!) very cheaply. I first took them to a snooty resale place that doesn't buy much but pays well when they do. They took a couple of the items. I then went to our consignment shop, which took most of the rest. The remainder, I took to the resale shop where we donate our stuff. This was time-consuming (Mrs. T-B. was not pleased, no man), but it resulted in a little immediate and (it's hoped) deferred defrayal of expense, si man. Free enterprise in action, whee man.

Came home, had a truncated nap (Mrs. T-B. was not pleased, no man), and mowed lawn. Lawnmower fell apart almost right away, but got repaired with (literally) baling-wire and duct tape, whee man. Because of slightly un-hotter weather, the mowing job almost didn't kill me this time, no man. In addition, for the first time in recorded recent memory, I was bitten neither by mosquitoes nor by hormigas del fuego, no man. I saw (and mowed over) several hormiga-hills, but nobody bit nobody, no man. Said hills were nuked with sprinklings of Amdro, si man.

Washed filthy T-mobile today, which will ensure rain by Monday at latest.

One of my favorite VJ posts said something to the effect of "if it says notarize do it then, don't if aint." The elegance of the last three words is wondrous to behold, mirabile visu man.

Bedtime, zzz man.

Hm... I eat one kiełbasa... My mom eat the second one, and my dad eat the last two ones :D

And sorry for not taking any picture of bread, ketchup, mustard, beetroot with horseradish and some beers and Coke, which were all the other stuff we had :rofl:

Yeah all the on-line translators translate each separate word, not caring about the meaning of the whole sentence. Which is funny, but still kinda understandable ;)

If "si" means "yes" (which is how I read it), in Polish it will be "tak, kolo". Tho it sounds more better as "si,man" :D

OK, so I googled it (since google has answer to all questions lol), and I finally got the answer: "wedgie" in Polish is "zmajtkować" :lol: It's a verb tho, so it has to be conjugated.

So...

I'm zmajtkowany

You're zmajtkowany

He's zmajtkowany

She's zmajtkowana

It's zmajtkowane

We're zmajtkowani

You're zmajtkowani

They're zmajtkowani

I wondered about putting him to ignore, but decided against it, instead treating his posts as an entertainment, kinda ignoring them and reading other posters' answer to them only... :lol:

I will definitely verify that! :)

The "man" from your phrase was translated as "człowiek", which is right since "man" is "człowiek" in Polsih.

Tho I still think "kolo" will be better, even if "kolo" rather means "buddy' in English.

i am uncertain if there is just one word in Polish resembling 'wedgie' in english.

noun - the visual after the verb is applied.

example - You gave me a wedgie !

verb - to grasp the backside of another person's underbritches, grasping firmly, and pull UP until the underbritches have transformed into a glob of cloth, firmly 'wedged' into the crack of one's #######.

example - Keep running your mouth, and I will wedgie you.

There are also varying degrees of wedgies, based on how high up the underbritches were pulled, or how much material makes it into the crack of one's #######.

For a married couple to do this, as an entertaining hobby - I don't get it. I find our time better spent in a 2 or 3 hour session of tantric massage, instead. When I say I don't get it, I truly mean that - I am very aware of wedgies and how to give one - usually it's done as a psychologically-damaging event, male to male, to establish superiority. Age range 11 to 17. Usually stops after first instance with coitus with a female. Usually.

Considering the whole sentences finished with "si, man" or "no, man"... It might be translated a little different...

"Si man" could mean "oj tak".

"No man" could mean "oj nie".

Just to emphasize what's been said in the sentence (that's how I read it ;))

Or..

The thing is I don't translate English to Polish. When I read in English (books, stories, forums), I switch myself to English, think in English, write in English... If I started to translate the reading text into Polish, it would take much more time to absorb and my brain would be a mess :rofl:
