"because maker knows Mum" <---who is "maker"? Marklar?

"Thank the Maker!" - C-3PO, Star Wars Ep 4: A New Hope

There's your answer. I play far too much The Old Republic, methinks. Yeah, not the biggest fan of organised religion so I just use Maker instead of Allah, or God.. that kind of thing. *shrugs*

"What's yours is mine!"

and don't forget. While you brits consider all Americans "yanks". We are in fact, not all Yanks.

Someone from south of the Mason-Dixon line (Also known as Dixie land), goes by the name of.....

"Ham hock-eating-hillbilly"

People from north of the Mason-Dixon line, are known as "Dang Yankay"

now when you travel south, end every sentence with the word "Dudney"

"He sho drives a nice trugg.....dudney?"

The Brits have no ground to stand on when talking about dialects of the English language in the USA, nowhere in the world is it worse than in the British Isles.
