may be I'll take my daughter fishing at the dock later....they love her over there. She's like a little clown, going from boat to boat looking for a handout of snacks......

They've nicknamed her "The Pirate Captain"

It was because I wasn't willing to do an all out brawl with my ex over money and custody and force my daughter to move with me. It would be a brawl and by the time it was done, no one would have anything and she'd likely an adult. Forgive me for not wanting to put my child through a custody war. The only way she'll live with me is if it's of her own decision. Or tell my husband he had to move to Canada or we would be getting a divorce. My brother is also 40 years old and finally getting his life together. Partially because he finally found a woman who would put up with all his ####### and not tell him off. My mother has gotten annoyed with her, saying "just because he doesn't talk to her doesn't mean you can't. Think for yourself." He's decided I'd permanently absolutely damaged my daughter forever and have abandoned her. He finally had a kid last year. I know he's engaged but have no idea when they're getting married, I'm 100% sure I'm not invited.

(btw right now she's reading on her bed behind me.....I woke her up to drive hubs to work and he decided to take his bike instead LOL. )

Its always nice when people that can't get their own life together, think they can make life decisions for other people. I applaud your common sense in your divorce.

Nik were you and your brother close?

I ask because my sis and I are not, ever since she married a selfish, swindling, cheapskate sonama-beach

nik. I truly believe, that Tiff is incapable of thinking about the future. And that she would deprive my daughter of (may be not food) but say....a college fund, to help the Malaysian side.

As for throwing these 2 out so I can have my basement back.....they keep saying they're going back to Malaysia. I think they're scheming on ways to get their savage kid brought back to the US. In which case, I will definitely evict them.....

So I gotta see whats going on first.

But the kid is a USC, so all they need to do is fly him here. What are they scheming about? Getting you to support the entire family?

On the topic of brother-in-laws (or is it brothers-in-law?) mine is.. well, he's finally got a steady job working in a store instead of just getting a sudden burst of money over the Summer doing security/events work. I tried doing events work last year, and I hated it. Some of the others there who were veterans (both of the Armed Forces and security work) were complete and utter asshats. I didn't go back to doing it because I'm better than someone's shouting kind of thing. Mistakes happen.

But yeah, my brother-in-law is not the most reliable of people. I'm hoping my sister sees this soon and gets herself out of the hole she's dug, because maker knows Mum and I have tried to help but she won't listen.

Thanks Cary. :) At least it wasn't a full out divorce, since I wasn't married to the ex. In Alberta, common-law have a lot of rights and because we were together for 10 years, plus I had proof of money given to him during our relationship, I could have taken half of everything. My step-dad wanted me to as well. And well maybe it was partly my pride that wanted to show I could do it on my own, it was also not wanting to take anything away from my child for my own benefit.

the scheme is.....

1- whodahel in their right mind is gonna bring this kid over for them?

2- Thinking of a way they'd continue to live here for free (food/ laundry included).....

3- Gump is 42....and has never had so much as an apartment on his own anywhere, no less support a family. He has always relied on my in laws.

I make them pat the Cable and basement electric bill now. Comes out to 300 a month.

If they had to live in Brooklyn on their own....

a modest 1 bedroom in Brooklyn is about 1000 bucks a month. plus utilities and services.

That's what we pay here.... yeesh I think we're paying too much. But then again.. I"m burnt from head to toe from the pool... which is a nice feature to have. Plus we have our own attached garage. :D

What jargon? I think I actually spoke in plain English that time around... of course I could attempt to actually type in Cockney if you wanted. :D
