After two years here, my wife can get to two malls and her work. She has decent GPS on her phone, but prefers to call me for directions. I'll track her phone with mine and tell her where to turn.

Yer such a sweetie Cary! My husband would tell me to figure it out on my own. LOL

You're nice. Ali would laugh at me if I asked him to do that.

My wife would cut my nads off if I laughed at her at that time. rofl.gif

When my wife gets lost, she gets tunnel vision. All she can see is the road directly in front of her. First time she got lost, she was driving by the airport. I asked her, now the airport is on your right, correct? Her answer I don't see an airport. The airport is huge, its miles around and she couldn't see it. Then I got her to get off the freeway, onto a side street to direct her back on a known path. So I'm asking her about the land marks and street signs, she kept saying there was no street signs, I asked her about the lake, no lake (she drove on a bridge that crossed the lake), I asked about a park, its half a mile long bordering the road she's on, nope didn't see a park either.

She drove 5 miles before she calmed down and could tell me what she was seeing. Then I could finally get her directed back on the right path. rofl.gif

Later I drove her along the path she was going, and she was laughing about missing all those huge things, airport, lake, park and how every street had a street name sign. She's gotten better now, I've trained her what to look for so I can tell her where to turn. And in worst cases she's to get off any highway and park, until we can get her direction and location worked out.

Cary even apologizes after he beats her up smile.png

oops8rh.gif

I did actually almost give her a black eye a couple weeks ago.

Wait its not what you think, I was putting on my pajamas bottoms and had bent over to step into them and pull them up. For some reason, I have no idea why, my wife comes trying to rush past me while I was pulling them up, ducking while she does this and my elbow went right into her eye. I never did get out of her what she was trying to do. But I got an ice back and kept the eye from swelling too much.

That is some serious #######!

I'm nowhere near that bad, but I do get very angry when I drive and if I get lost it's like a blinding rage. However, I do know my way around now, especially in the burbs, so it doesn't happen too often.

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

I know I was shocked at how poorly she reacted. Now I've learned to first calm her down, and she's learned there's no need to panic if she gets lost. I think she was afraid there would be no way to ever find her if she was lost, and no way she'd ever find her way back home. I've also pointed out how she gets tunnel vision when nervous and she needs to keep from getting that way or it will only take longer to straighten her course out. One time she had missed a turn and I was directing her back, and she see's a sign saying Duluth, which is three hours away, she was convinced it meant she had gotten that badly lost. It was actually a exit to street called Duluth Street. rofl.gif Its now become a standing joke, "Don't exit at Duluth!"

I often think, how can my father be such an ungrateful person?

So I guess it was okay when they helped him (and you when you were a kid), it was almost expected... But when they needed help, your dad simply forgot how they'd helped him... That's sad.

They serve as food for anteaters, if anteaters are around.

But what's the purpose of them living if there's no anteater around? ;)

But what's the purpose of them living if there's no anteater around? wink.png

To make way for anteaters to move into the area.

Spiders, worms, antlions, lizards, many creatures actually eat ants. Plus ant move dead material underground to return the nutrients to the soil. Some ants pollinate many species of plants. But now fire ants, they have but one purpose, and that's to bite T-bone and make him suffer. His wife can't be the only one with that job.

I see Poland got its internet back

Where's Asia, maybe she forgot the name of VJ and can't find it.....

Asia's working overtime, and comes home so tired that is considering taking a nap, but instead of it, she just will go to bed earlier in the evening and that should be enough of resting, to be more alive tomorrow :D

Maybe she wrote it in polish?

Check out this translation of visa journey into Polish rofl.gif

http://translate.google.com/#en/pl/Visa%20Journey

See? I just LOVE google translator :D

I have until Oct (90 days for a resident then 1 month after that to change it over) to get my DL.

Nikki, I feel for you... I'd go insane with all those issues you have...

I heard that in Poland, , every parking space is marked "handicap parking"

Nah, just every other one... ;)

How dare you guys make fun of Poland behind Asia's back?

Yeah, how dare you???

And then I come and have to reply to all those posts...

Oh I found the reason, Poland has no internet today. Maybe they share the internet with Italy, and its Italy's turn to have internet today?

While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.poland.com/

The following error was encountered:

  • Connection to 46.105.245.165 Failed

The system returned:

(61) Connection refused

LOL there's no webside www.poland.com

And we don't share internet with Italy but with Ukraine ;)

I try to do that and then end up seven states away.

A couple of months ago there was a case of a woman from Belgium or Netherlands, who was supposed to pick up her friend from the airport in her country, which was like 100 miles away or something, if I remember correctly.

So she put the airport addy in her GPS, and has driven for a couple of days, till she reached Croatia, which is like 1,000 miles away rofl.gif

EDIT: I got some fact wrong, but here's the article:
