As a side note, my email server at work will not accept email from Poland. None of their internet providers will do a thing about spammers sending from hijacked systems there, and we don't do business in that country anyway, so they get blocked. There's a number of other countries with the same problem that get the same treatment. Italy, Spain and France have similar issues.

Sigh... oh well at least it's open tomorrow and I only wasted ink on photocopies I did with my home printer. I'll buy a stamp when I get some groceries later and head to the damn office tomorrow. Kiddo will be waking up with me and headed there after we drop the hubs off. Which reminds me i got directions from my house but not from his work... /sigh

Smart phones with navigation apps are wonderful for that. I can't imagine getting around the old way I did now. Of course if you don't want to invest in the cost of a smart phone in terms of plan cost, there's still cheap GPS units to be had.

I'll be going with my wife more than likely. Not sure yet this year. Personally I hate going to the state fair, just too many people clogged into too small an area. Did I ever mention I hate, literally detest crowds? If I go it will be a rainy day like last year so I can avoid the heavier crowds.

So what day will we be going to eat fried meatloaf? Crowd-watching?

Meh, only time I worry about routes is if I'm going into the complete unknown. Otherwise, I self-navigate the old-fashioned way - landmarks and going in the general direction of the place I'm heading for.

Most places I know where I'm going, so I follow this method. But any new place I always plug the address into my phone and verify I know exactly where it is. I've got so spoiled using a smart phone.

Oh yeah, for sure. I'll plug the location into my PC before heading off if it's either in one of the main cities or I've not been to that place before. Otherwise I use my Scout Leader's method.

I don't know if I'll even go yet. But it will no doubt be last minute and on a weekend. The wife wants to maintain her near perfect attendance at her job at least until they make her permanent. Only time she missed any time was for my mother's funeral, and then just for that day. So they'll be no taking a day off for the fair when the crowds might be smaller. Its gonna have to be the last weekend of the fair given our current schedule, most likely the 31st.
