The short version of my long story......

I lost my brother and biological mom during childbirth when I was 2 and a half. Until I was 10, it was always my father and I. Then when my step mom and half sis came into our lives, I became the outcast of the family. My step mom cared more about me than my own father. My daughter is her favorite grandchild (she has 3).

When I graduated high school, college, and graduate school, he was a no show (to be honest, I didn't want him there)

Uncle Sam paid for my schooling as I went to a service academy.

When I started to see a bit of money, I drove an Acura legend. The first thing my father said was "what do you need a car like that for?"

When I leased my first Benz, his first words were "you're definitely gonna get that car stolen".

When Obama gave me 4500 bucks to trade in my car, I bought a Honda CRV, to which he borrowed from me post haste, and never returned. I've been insuring this car now for 4 years.

I pay all his utilities and insurance. Plus gas in the CRV. And whatever else comes up.

He in turn, buys my sis a house in Philadelphia without mentioning it to me of course. I found out through one of the databases that I use.

I've gotta say, he spoils the ####### outta my daughter. I think it's because he's trying to redeem himself......

I find myself at times, engulfed in self-pity.....and I pray everyday, that my worst day as a Dad, is better than his best day as a father.....

You're a saint, Steve.

I'd stop pay for that car like 4 years ago...

I'd share my story about a childhood with my alcoholic parents, about being verbally and physically abused for years, but that's too sad...

So... I'd rather share my picture with Patrick, taken a month ago smile.png

Patrick is your brother?

Well don't you think you should start helping to repopulate the Poles?

sorry, I haven't been keeping up. My childhood was idyllic compared to others here. So much pain out there.

I guess that's why I never married til later in life...
