No whiskey. Only Bourbon. Go Kentucky!

I accidently asked for rye in a restaurant in one of my first trips to the USA and she said we have bourbon is that close enough? I said sure.... bourbon and coke.... most disgusting thing ever... UGH And she still charged me for it even when I said, no that's gross I don't want it. I've learned you don't have rye in the USA, dunno why. Rye is always whiskey but not whiskey is rye. :) Maybe it was scotch she put in there... I dunno... But I've learned my lesson and ask for my Crown Royal by name.

Sucks bro.

On a related woman note, I have this friend that I've been close with ever since move-in day of freshman year of uni. We lived together, I was in her wedding, she was in mine, etc. I've always known she is flaky (not answering calls or texts, etc). We now live in the same state, literally twenty minutes away from each other and it's ridiculous for us to not hang out. However, she hasn't responded to a single call or text in over a month and I'm trying to figure out if that means give up or continue to try until she responds. I hate being the person who does that, but I value our friendship. What do I do? Make a decision for me.

If she was a flipina, I'd say you pissed her off and she's giving you tampo. You just wait it out and they get over it.

Every few weeks drop a text that just says "missing you". Nothing else. Either she gets in contact again or she doesn't. Sounds like its out of your hands.

My wife is one of those who doesn't answer the phone. She hates talking on the phone. I think its because every time she does answer the phone, she talks for at least an hour rofl.gif

Thing is, I didn't do anything. The last texts we shared were friendly (ie: we need to catch up! i'll call you soon). Granted, they just bought a house and were in the moving process, but goddamn. A text takes about 30 seconds to do. Oh well, her loss I guess.

I also hate talking on the phone. Especially with my southern grandmother. A conversation that should be 15 minutes takes at least an hour because of the drawwwwwwlllllllll.

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

I haven’t posted pics yet.

However I forgot to tell you guys what I found the last patch of tile I cleaned. When I applied the last batch of cleaning solution to the grout (oxygen bleach mixed with water), I noticed that two of the tiles were a slightly different texture. Well half hour later as I scrubbed the grout and wiped up the dirt/solution, I noticed that whoever replaced the two tiles used dirt coloured grout/mud in between. rolleyes.gif So now I have these two tiles that look totally stupid in the front entranceway. Luckily it is covered by the mat I have in the front hallway. Beside the shoe rack that I’m trying to convince hubby to use. So far he’s good with all shoes except his work shoes. He will assimilate into the Canadian way…shoes come off at the front door.

Years ago I would call this one distributor our company had, that had a receptionist with an incredible drawl.

I'd call up, in the typical hurried work day pace, and be subjected to

Goooooooooooooooood Moooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrnnnnnnnnniiiiinnnnnggggggggggg, Crrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaain SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSoooooooooooooooouuuuuuutherrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrn, Hooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyy IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII diiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeect yoooooooooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrr caaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll.

Me - Can I talk to Bob?

Receptionist - OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeee Mmmmmmmooooooooooooommmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnnnnnnnnnt wwwwwwwwwwhiiiiiiiiiilllllllle IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiireeeeeeeeeeect yourrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll.

My lord it would take two minutes just listening to her simple greeting! I think she was both southern and slow! rofl.gif

Well using dirt colored grout was obviously easier than cleaning the grout.

Canadian's all call it Rye because that's what they make their whiskey with. In the states whiskey is made of rye (in the north) or more commonly corn (across south and west). Whiskey can be either, but Bourbon can only be corn and it has to be aged in KY. Its like champagne. Typically, bourbon should be enjoyed with ice or straight, no mixing. Unless its junk then you're screwed either way.
